2v8 smoke bomb
I am the only one who thinks smoke bomb are more harmfull for survivor?
When you use it like 15-20 meters away from killer which is coming for you then ist quite good. But when killer is close and you use it for some reason I presonally find it quite hard to see in the smoke from third person (survivor pov) more than from first person (killer pov). When you look down as killer you will see much more stuff than survivor.

I’ve used smokebombs effectively to escape quite a few times. Sometimes you’ll get unlucky and the killer finds you anyway, but the smoke bombs aren’t meant to be automatic chase escape mechanisms. That’s the whole point - it requires a bit of luck and a bit of skill.

They are my favorites item - incredible useful in confounding killers and getting away mid chase, or to drop it on a gen being worked on when they start running to the gen - gives everyone a chance to put some distance from the killer. Pnly thing i wish it could also do is hide auras.

I dont want them to be automatick escape but they are terrible to navigate in third person compared to first person view. They should make it same for both sides.

The thing here is that you have to know where you're at when you use it. They're pretty effective to use, particularly after breaking line of sight mid-chase, but you have to have the map/tile awareness to run blind for a couple of seconds at least.

they are often useless in 2v8 because they don’t hide auras and in 2v8 the killer sees surv auras like.. half of the whole match - especially when initiating a chase.
Otherwise i think they are pretty good, not working always but require a bit of skill in timing and evading and luck

I've been using them and they usually work great. Especially if there are multiple survivors that you can cover. So long as your aura isn't being read.

Smoke bombs are often free escapes in 2v8. Just don't use them at the start of chase, or if a generator is about to hit 100% and you haven't been hooked yet.
And use them when there are a lot of line of sight breakers around the survivor.
