How to instantly grab someone as the spirit?
I have seen people instantly grab survivors when uncloaking as the spirit (phase walk), how do you do that? Thanks.

Easier with Prayer Beads. Go to a gen, understand which side the survivor is working on, uncloack and grab them

Any killer can instantly grab a survivor off gens or whatever. I think you may be referring to sort of a meme Spirit build. With some of her add-ons, she can phase walk without you hearing hear. She'll bump into the back of you during the phase walk (then know your there), come out of phase and grab you.

You tap the attack button while close to a survivor doing an interuptable action. Also, every killer can do this. but the spirit is the best at it (with nurse as a second)
It should be noted that the code around grabbing seems to be wonky. I have, many times, started the animation, only to have the survivor run off.
Another way to get grabs it to take Thrill of the Hunt and Ruin at the same time. Once you get alerted the survivors are working on a totem, you time your approach to get there when they are nearly done with the totem. Many survivors, including rank 1's, will try to finish the totem when it gets really close.

I actually got stuck in the grab animation one time, reached out to grab them, and they ran off, they didnt take a hit or anything, and my hand was stuck out stretched like i was grabbing. A basic m1 attack fixed it, but the survivor got away when they should have been grabbed, and that was annoying

This has happened to me before. I hope you were still able to hook them.

It was KYF, I wasn't that worried about it. But it didn't even count as a hit on them, which is the annoying part.

The same has happened to me on the pig I was stuck long enough for the survivors to tbag me and pop two gens
