Where are the anti-gen rushing quality of life changes?
I'm reviewing the quality of life changes upcoming, and I'm not seeing the anti-gen rushing changes anywhere. Can someone point that out for me? Because this is definitely extremely fair and balanced for most of the killer roster. I don't understand… how come these survivors didn't care about my fun? I barely
even get to play the game! Nerf every regression perk though.

They didn't create them. I'm sure if it becomes really truly bad enough, they will in fact do something about it. Much of the stuff they have added so far has given Killers more pressure - a basekit Mori, anti go next, hooks respawning, and spawn logic updates for Survivors for example.
While I agree basekit kicking could be upped, and maybe some perks should NOT activate the gen kick limit like they do, and perhaps there should be SOME balancing of SOME generator tools for Survivors… it's not the end of the world if anti genrush never comes, since it's just part of the game.
If you aren't a fan of it, just use a perk. There are perks for controlling generators. That's what the perks are for.

They want you to play Nurse when Phase 2 'QoL' hits. I would suggest you to train the Nurse before the inevitable 12-hook game arrives.

Already tried, too difficult on PlayStation and not really that fun

Also, weren't they supposed to revert the Deja Vu changes once they put in the regression limit? Whatever happened to that?

Do you have a laptop or PC? Dead by Daylight is cross-play. All you have to do is link it to your Behaviour account so you can play it on Steam.
But it's not necessary because you can use Keyboard and Mouse later on console when Phase 2 hits.

"We have noticed growing concerns surrounding excessively long matches caused by 3-genning (Killer defending a cluster of three generators). We are working on a long term solution for a future update to limit how effective this strategy can be. However, we recognize that Survivors need more options at their disposal right now to combat 3-genning. With this in mind, some adjustments have been made to Déjà Vu: The perk will now reveal the auras of 3 generators which are in close proximity to one another indefinitely (previously for 30/45/60 seconds at the start of the trial and every time a generator was completed) and grant a 4%/5%/6% repair speed bonus on the revealed generators (previously 3%/4%/5%)."
- In short; they forgot about it.

It's in this PTB.
Survivors are being forced to spawn all together every time, which means that unless they burn an offering (which admittedly I don't think they should get to have) you will never lose three generators in your first chase without massively misplaying going forward. This is a huge boost to the killer's reliable early game pressure, which in turn cuts down on what some refer to as "genrushing".
I'd still personally like to see toolboxes reworked properly, since even with this change they're unbalanced still (albeit less so), but when it comes to helping killers out with gen efficiency by default, it's been on this roadmap the entire time and everyone's just ignoring it.

Honestly, I'm willing to bet they just figured they don't need to anymore.
It's not like Deja Vu is causing problems right now. It's a good perk, don't get me wrong, knowing where the 3-gen is at all times is a damn good effect, but it's not the reason gens are flying in anyone's matches.
In addition, I feel like a lot of people forget another very key piece of context, which is that while it was buffed to help against 3-gens… it wasn't actually any good at breaking them if the killer was actually trying to hold them. It ended up being a nice-but-not-overbearing buff to an underrated perk for regular gameplay and not very useful for its supposed purpose, lol.

I love this Post. I do think Gen Rushing is a serious issue right now buy they will fix it when Survivors spawn together instead apart. I would love to see Depending on the map is how long Gens take to finish. Like if ur on a large Map the Gens take alot long as on smaller maps they take the usual time to finish. I don't think it's players it's the game Design morely. There are people who intentionally Gen Rushing which I think If the game detects that multiple Gens get finished the remaining Gens get blocked for 1min. I mean this happens Basekit btw

Not to mention that the extra 1% they added to deja Vu is literally less than a second difference off of the entire gen's progress from 0-100%. (About 0.808 seconds out of 90 base, incredible value...)
For comparison, the call of brine buff amounts to about 8.5 seconds extra removed for the duration. So, despite cob being "weak" and "not worth running", the deja Vu bonus is literally about 10% as impactful as that.

Notice how it doesn't say they were planning to revert it?

The auras are the more powerful effect. It makes it easy to break gen clusters when the killer already has to give up like 3 gens at the beginning of the trial because they're always so spread apart. Also being able to quickly find gens saves a lot of time especially on indoor maps

"Aw man, who cares! You barely ever run into teams like that! Most matches are just discombobulated solos that are doing their totem challenges! We don't need to balance for those teams!"
Wow literally first game tonight. 2.8 gens done at first hook and 1. I didn't take a long time to find someone, 2. the first person literally just held forward, pathed terribly, and didn't throw one pallet on Garden of Joy. 2.8 gens done.
We need anti-gen rushing quality of life changes!-6 -
despite them bringing a map offering and 2 strong toolboxes you ended up drawing by killing half of them, despite “2.8 gens done at first hook”. What exactly do you want, 10 minute gens? You didn’t even bring any slowdowns other than gift of pain.

I got my fifth hook just as gens finish and found someone with friends and the other 2 bounced. Not a well paced or satisfying game at all

I actually agree with you. I've had multiple games as The Unknown that the survivors Gen rushed me not even in 2mins into the match they finished the Gens when my chases where actually good. I don't think it's the survivors it's the Map it's self. If they added stuff like if multiple Gens get finished the remaining Gens get blocked

In the ptb patch notes and latest dev update, bhvr updated survivor spawn rules where now all survivors will spawn together at the beginning of the match. This makes it much harder to start working on multiple different generators right at the start so seeing 3 gens being done in 2 minutes will not be common anymore.

Never because it's only an issue when the killer player plays efficiently. Here's a chart to help you understand:
Killer Tunnels = Killer is bad and we need 5 more insane meta anti-tunnel perks to stop them
Survivor Complains about Tunneling = It's ok, those tunneling killers are ruining the game, it's not your fault
Survivors genrush = nerf every slowdown perk
Killer complains about genrush = killer is bad, there is no such thing as genrushing, its just the survivor doing their objective, get better at the game0 -
Tbr I see it as both a nerf and a buff. If someone has Prove Thyself, there's no way a killer is gonna be able to get to that gen before it gets popped, especially with a BNP and whatever other gen perks the survivors decide to bring
1 -
That's still a buff to killers overall.
Exempting Prove which requires them to be grouped up (and doesn't have that much of an impact) those tools would all be much stronger on separate generators right from the start. Losing one generator is an improvement over losing three, y'know?
1 -
Ya'll are talking about the spawn changes like BHVR didn't also add an offering for survivors to start separated lolololol. Most mind boggling thing ever
-2 -
Friend, you tied. That's neither a win nor a loss - and within the 60% killrate. You're fine, you did fine. You don't need to 4k to have a good round.
Please, I beg of you, get off 2020-2024's "I must win at all costs" teat. The game becomes more fun when you aren't focused on wins at all costs and accept that sometimes, you simply will tie or lose and this is by design.

Not really. A game where I get under 25 - 30k points as killer was not a good experience
-1 -
I am truly sorry you can't find any other way to enjoy this game.
0 -
Do you say this to survivors that complain about getting tunneled? Because getting under 20k points means the gens flew (i didn't get to play the game much) or i couldn't catch anyone (terrible matchmaking). Either one is not a good experience
-1 -
Please do not change the goalposts, this post is about Killers not Survivors.

Gens are 90 seconds. If survivors are popping gens left and right, maybe bring in tinkerer to know when gens are able to pop. Also if you're focusing on chases, know when to stop and patrol gens. There's no such thing as gently rushing when it's so long to do. Patrol gens more and you'll be fine.
