Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What do we think of Springtraps addons?

I've seen a pretty good general perception for his addons actually being transformative. Foxy hook, Celebrate poster,Freddys tophat, Access panel to name a few all can have dramatic effects on Springtrap's power. And i know people were tired of the usual "extends range by x, increases speed by x" that we had for most killers now. It's better to have the power release strong enough and have the addons actually change it up. Though I have also seen complaints about some of these addons (namely foxy hook and celebrate poster) So what's people's honest opinions on the list?

i wish access panel was buffed to work on survivors looking at cameras rather than never hitting anyone or make it a brown add-on since it's actually useless

All his add ons are rather good and viable in some way changing his power a bit except for Freddy's Hat that doubles the axe weight.

Kinda wished they would go back and redo some other killers add ons like Artist and Pyramid Head that might have 1-3 valid add ons and the rest being worthless.

I think they're very solid overall. Ultimately I think it's more important for addons to be interesting than balanced, especially in a PTB. Unbalanced addons can (usually) be quickly tuned to fix them, but uninspired addons need to be completely redesigned. Having a roster of addons that all do unique things is a great start, even if they aren't all equally useful.

The great thing about having such variance is that you can actually make the argument for some addons. Most people have dismissed Access Panel immediately for example, but IMO you should be throwing away the axe for 115% speed in map traversal, so quickly throwing it through a door when you've got the chance is probably going to be more useful for intel reveal than a random spot near you. Or if you're moving to a door to travel through it, might as well throw the axe through while approaching it, you can essentially check one door while emerging from a different door.

I'm probably not right about Access Panel, it likely does suck, but at least you can think about the argument, unlike a lot of other Killers where addons are often objective downgrades of each other or very clearly provide worthless effects. It's a good state to be in.

Though, "Purple Guy Drawing" not being a purple addon? That's gotta be an instant disqualification. 0/10
