How I'd buff Insidious.
For the rare few who may not know, let me give a quick crash course on how the killer's terror radius;
The terror radius is made up of 4 layers (legion technically has more thanks to the mixtape, but we'll ignore them for the sake of understanding the base mechanic). You've probably realized this;
Layer 1, "Distant", plays when you're still far from the killer, alerting you they're in the area, but still likely not aware of you. This plays on the outer 33% of the killer's terror radius (32-21m approx on a standard 32m radius killer)
Layer 2, "Approaching", plays when, as the name suggests, the killer is approaching, alerting you that it may be time to run and/or hide. This plays in the middle 33% of the killer's TR (21-10m approx)
Layer 3, "Near", plays when the killer is right on top of you, but has not started a chase for whatever reason. As you can assume, this is 10-0m approx.
Layer 4, "Chase", plays during a chase, as you can assume.
What I'd suggest is that insidious reduces the layer 2 and 3 radiuses depending on unique hooks; this provides some unique and unconventional stealth; still emitting a terror radius, but fogging up information on whether you're only in the area, or right on top of them. Considering this counters pre-running, since people are forced to decide whether to run early (potentially revealing themselves, or even just wasting time) or stick to a task, risking the fact you could be right on top of them.
You have learned to conceal your presence better than most.
Each time a survivor is hooked for the first time, gain a token.
For every token, reduce the range survivors are alerted to your approach by 15/20/25%
"Did you hear that…? I must be imagining things-"

Could also just give it a lingering timer similar to how survivor boon perks operate once you leave the area. Maybe allow the effect to last for 5-10 seconds after you start moving.

It'd just be annoying to keep stopping and starting to get undetectable though, and the concept is unique.

Long while back, I suggested that Insidious be used for trapping something other than a hooked survivor, so I suggested that it increases gen regression speed within a short radius. That way, it'd be better for hiding near a gen and waiting for a survivor to come and touch it so you can jumpscare them.
In order to facilitate the impression that the killer is moving away, it might also be a good idea to make the perk gradually reduce terror radius until gone, at a rate matching the killer's movement speed.

I had an idea that maybe take away the stand still get undetectable mechanic and inside it just extends undetectable from any source
For example demo leaving a portal it would extend it
Any perk or addon giving X amount of time undetectable it extends it

If your traveling the map trying to imitate a stealth killer sure... but if you know where someone is, throwing on undetectable to travel the last 40 meters works fine.
