Why do we still have a DC penalty when we have bots?
I don’t see why players are punished for disconnecting from a match (whether it’s intentional or not) as the rest of the lobby get left with a bot player. They do generators and go for unhooks / heals, so why is this a problem? Would you rather be left with a bot that’ll help to progress the match or somebody who will throw the game until they’re killed?
I also assume that most of the killer player base wants bots with the way they play, so it seems like a win-win for both sides. You’ll still get bloodpoints for playing against bots and maybe they could implement a system that increased bloodpoint gains when somebody disconnects to encourage other players to stay in the match.
The only real reason people want the DC penalty is to feed their own ego. As they have to feel ‘powerful’ knowing they won against 4 real players. Gross tbh.

Because no other game rewards someone for disconnecting mid match.
What you are asking for it to pick who you are going against and ensuring you havs the ideal perks for your scenario. No other online game let's you pick your opponent without penalty, so why should DBD? You're asking to be able to rage quit until you find the ideal scenario for your particular build... and you want to talk about feeding ego?
You talk as if its as win/win for survivors/killers as they will still have a bot in the game, but go on to say that bots are horrible so killers would love that? Do you realize you are contradicting yourself?
Would you also remove the DC penalty for killers? Not into an ideal team, why should survivors be able to quit without penalty and killers can't.

How long is your DC ban?

I don’t have one as I haven’t disconnected from any of my games recently. 😘

Where did I say that bots were horrible? 😘

We have the DC penalty so people don't leave at the drop of a hat repeatedly for potentially asinine reasons.
When the DC penalty was off it's almost impossible to go 10 games without a DC from someone. We'd personally like to play a multiplayer game with actual people.

"I also assume that most of the killer player base wants bots with the way they play,"
What else could you possibly mean by this? Also good job picking on one of the many things said in my post.
Starting to think you are a bot, honestly, with these awful takes.

It wasn’t and hasn’t ever been as bad as people make out. I’ve been playing well before the DC penalty was a thing and people didn’t DC as much as everybody tries to make out. It’s the killer players who want to tunnel people at 5 gens and try to bleed everybody out who complained the most as they’re only having fun when they’re actively making other people miserable. Maybe you like that sort of thing?

This is my first (and last) serious response in this thread, and your takes are horrible. It's not just EinRaikou

Yes it was and had been. We've been here since Doc came out and dcs were as common as "going next" is today. Then the DC penalty came and it cut down (with the caveat of people now giving up in other ways). When it turned off again, it WAS rampant dcs from both sides. And yes, both sides, it wasn't only killers complaining, survivors complained cause killers also DC rampantly and that left no trial.
You couldn't comprehend what the 3 of us like

Bots are her for when a player fails....a player who has Disconnected early gets a DC penalty because they had a bad attitude and hurt their teams chances of escape. That kind of behavior should get a DC penalty. When I'm miserable as killer if I DC I deserve a penalty. Same when I play survivor. This is fair
