Picking up and dropping your item repeatedly still counters AFK crows/extreme hiding prevention??
I'm assuming it still does? Since nothing in the patch notes mentioned it

Say killer was Toxic and you don't want him to WS Kill you due to anxiety. Whats the fix?

Right now on live? Yes.
Going forward with the changes from the PTB? No.

Stealth is only strong if the killer doesn't use any tracking perks. Even just one is enough in most cases to find rat survivors.

There is a big difference between Survivors just being stealthy and Survivors waiting for everyone to die. Years ago I often played with a Streamer (we were both Solo, so no SWF) who was running full stealth-Builds while being very efficient at Gens. Vastly different from the people who stop doing anything and just wait for the Hatch to spawn.
That being said, stealthy playstyles are basically dead in DBD. The Developers clearly dont want stealth to be a thing anymore.

I find it ironic and a bit sad that things like base kit BT and AFC get responses like "what are killers supposed to do, they're removing every play style" when it's barely noticeable that those features exist in the long run and trivial to either power through or play around them.
Then the devs go and actually delete "stealth" from their "hide and seek" marketed game.

Yeah, this is kinda sad. It is quite clear that stealth is not wanted anymore. Every Killer nowadays releases with some form of Killer Instinct, which is cannot be countered by any means. Including some Killers which dont even need Killer Instinct (e.g. no reason that Wesker has it).
Distortion nerfed to the ground as well, even tho the Perk was completely fine. The main argument was always that it is used by players who rat out their teammates and guess what - those players still exist, now just more often in a locker. And if Distortion was such a problem, I wonder what Killer players did who dont even use Aura Reads…
That the game overall got brighter is also Anti-Stealth. The Gamma-Settings as well, even tho, I am fine with those. I think they are too bright, but since you can do that with Reshade already, it makes sense to implement it to make it fair for all Platforms.
So yeah, Stealth as a Playstyle is gone and not wanted.
