Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

More cheaters now?

Has anyone else been facing more blatant (maybe not so blatant in some instances) cheaters in their games? In almost 2k hours I could honestly say I faced 3 confirmed cheaters ever, but in the recent days I've encountered multiple cheaters after coming back from break. Just wondering if anyone else has faced them more often recently?

P.s In case you're wondering how I know they're confirmed cheaters, they reveal themselves around mid match. Either showing off insane speed of impossible torch blinds.

    Yeah, you're not imagining things.

Cheaters in DBD have gone from rare wildlife sightings to something between pigeons and mosquitoes.
The EAC sticker is still proudly glued to the game, but unfortunately, that’s the full extent of its involvement.

Speedhacks, teleporting, flashlight blindness from orbit.. pick your flavor. And just like always, after 4 reports and a log file, the outcome is: “No suspicious activity detected.”

But hey, at least the 7th recolor of Feng’s leggings got patched immediately.

I'm starting to see speed hack subtle cheaters like every two or three games it seems. At 4000 hours I am certain of the distance needed to get a lunge hit, but these survivors can make you whiff in a straight line.

There's a lot of cheaters, but I've run across far less as of late it feels. I probably have to report one of out ten matches now instead of one out of six.

Granted, it's hard to pick up on subtle cheaters. Im talking about the more blatant ones.

Given how often the anti-cheat system gets mentioned lately, it’s clear the frustration is justified.

Strangely enough, threads like these tend to vanish without a trace… so if this one disappears too, don’t be too surprised. Patterns say more than statements.

I faced one team of cheaters (not skill issue hackusations, we're talking stunlocking on pallets and blinding infinitely through walls), then DCed because I'm not gonna be someone's toy. Someone friend requested me on Steam right after and I accepted because I never turn down friend requests, and I queued into another team under completely different names doing the same things.

I think the friend request marked my account to ensure I was in their lobby again. Why they'd do that, idk. I ended up reporting the account that requested me and blocked them, and I haven't faced a cheater since.

I got Human Greed in a few Chaos Shuffle matches and in all of them I could clearly see how I was being tracked through the walls, even in closed maps such as RCPD. Now I understand why so much hate for aura perks when most of them are pretty niche.

It's odd... went quite a while without any hackers but recently I have played against quite a few. Not that surprising though when thousands of cheap Epic game accounts exist from then they decided to make the game free on that platform

Thanks for the comments guys, really appreciate the different stories you've all brought in. At first I thought it was just me, but im weirdly glad to hear others have been encountering more and its not just a me thing.

Good luck out there in the dog regardless <3
