What's a soul crushing killer for you?
What's that killer/s that just you know your not going to have a fun time no matter what. They're boring to face, you know what to expect or some other third thing.
For me it's Singularity like yes I could say Ghoul but eh haven't faced on in a while but just Singularity makes me roll my eyes they just use the same play style of place bipod at gen constantly monitor gens from far away and repeat plus once a bipod is destroyed go back replace it and repeat. Yes I get there's the three gen prevention and of course separate pressure on gens so two can be close to done and such plus gen rushing but just the minute I hear that terror radius I know the match is going to be dull or it'll take super long i'm not wanting a 2 minute match but I'm not wanting 20 minutes of having to leave a gen, go back, then leave again. It's basically just I hear Singularity's terror radius I know what to expect because it's always the same thing.

Wesker.
I genuinely loathe that killer and wish he had never been added to the game. Seeing him once is enough to make me want to stop playing for the day.

I would say the killer that sucks my soul out has to be Trickster not for playing against but playing as. His music is annoying and his power is honestly just pure boring to use

Billy and Bubba.
Bubbas is basically "walk to survivor, rev saw, try to down survivor with saw no matter what, repeat".Billy is similar to the above, except a faster timetable. A playstyle of "sprint across map till survivor is found, get to m1 range, rev saw, try downing with saw no matter what, repeat" with occasional "curve at this loop".
We can often guess their perks within the first 30 seconds of discovering who it is too, which doesn't help.

Yeah plus I mean there builds that can make him an M1 but still strong killer and use his chainsaw for map traversal

Not "soul crushing" but I find Deathslinger really boring. Everything about him from his greasy looks, his generally dull looking cosmetics, his uninspired terror radius, his ugly laugh, etc. I find going against him to be really low energy. I apologise to Caleb mains ☮️

Deathslinger makes my stomach turn looking at him. I think he’s the most visually repulsive looking killer in the roster. Idk what it is, I hate looking at him, he makes me feel so uneasy. Also yes his cosmetics need a buff.

Pinhead. Not because I don't like versing him but because so many teammates just give up because they don't like him. So I don't mind him but my teammates make sure I won't have a good match

Dredge causes me actual physical pain. Other Killers like Plague and Bubba are annoying, but I can deal with them. With Dredge, I have to hope I can find a light source so I don't wind up with a massive headache and the feeling of needles being hammered into my eyes from the strain they're put through in Nightfall.

Probably legion or trickster. I just really hate mending, so much so that I used to main legion and then realized how much I hated going against them and then stopped playing as him altogether lol. And then trickster I just really dislike because I feel his counter is entirely map dependent. So I tend not to enjoy facing him because it feels more reliant on rng luck rather than actual skill from both killer and survivor.

If I'm going to be honest, none of them.
Some I know I'm not good against, others like Ghoul I know I have to assume my team will probably give up, but I still try regardless.0 -
Probably Larry or Pinhead. I'm exclusively solo queue for survivor, and those two are a massive pain to face without communication. When I face Pinhead, I just throw myself at the box, regardless of what condition I'm in, or what I'm doing at the time.

Very interesting General, not a common sentiment I suspect. I do have an aversion to Wesker when I hear his music it makes me reflexively cringe, simply because when he came out I faced nothing but Wesker for months on end to the point just hearing his music filled me with dread lol.
Yeah I have to say these two are definitely in my top few killers I despise and realised I have pretty much never had a good match against (a new Trickster can be bearable since his power is ass).
Twins slug, camp the slug, slug and camp and slug play style is miserable but the best way to play her, as for Trickster, I just hate his entire aesthetic and the knife spam makes me want to rage. Not strong, just extremely irritating.

Ghoul, because people give up.
Myers, because 9 times out of 10 they are using tombstone piece in my games. I love being taken out of the game by a single purple addon. Yes I know lockers exist but I hate having to play like every Myers has tombstone piece, it's ridiculous.

Skullmerchant and Single Larry (singularity).
I just don't like anything about skullmerchant never did never will, and single larrys tunneling + camping with the blobs and them being everywhere gets me annoyed.

Hag
If they do well you're never leaving the hook. If they do poorly they're not going to hit anyone once. In between they're very lackluster to play against. Anything good about this killer is very specific gimmicks.
I also want to mention the counterplay to this killer is boring. I account that for when BHVR removed flashlight interactions with all killers. Yeah it was a buff to the killer but the QoL for interesting counters to this killer dwindled and every game feels like a slog against them.
Are they strong? Not at all. Could they be improved for both sides? Yeah probably - I don't play them enough so I don't have the answers for that I just don't enjoy going against them.
I have other killers I don't like but I feel consistently this is a killer that ruins my mood when playing survivor since they were added.
I'd mention Artist because their sound design gives me a headache but other than that it's almost always this killer I think of when I think of a bad time.

clown, Hag, Wraith. these killers are so dull when I could be facing pinhead, Alien, Unknown or soon to be Springtrap

Legion. A killer with a built in wallhack and speedhack is just frustrating, especially when you're having to constantly mend all match.

Well, my dear friend, that sure is true.
I wasn't here for Wesker's initial release, I thought the game was in a bad state back then and I had been playing other games. And when I got back and played against him I was extremely confused as to why people seemed to like him, when in my opinion he is almost as unfun as Old Legion.
I was really surprised when I learned he isn't hated by the community in general. But I sure hate him, very much. Any other killer in the game is better to go against than he is.

To play against a strong Nurse or Ghoul player as matches tend to be very one sided.
To play as Skull Merchant ever since they gutted her power so much you may be better off never using her drones and just be pure M1 only.

Skull Merchant - I'm genuinely so disinterested at the sight of her that I just d/c. I never cared about the 3 gen thing. I just don't want to be playing this game and have someone come ask me what I'm playing to which I'd then have to describe to them that we are trying to survive a bloodthirsty Killer and make it out. Then they watch a bit longer and see The Skull Merchant……
I don't even want to put myself in a situation where somebody can witness me in the same room as trash like that so I can hear them say, "….what? that's the Killer..?". How embarrassing would that be eh? That's how I feel when I see that character or someone playing that character. I'm embarrassed for everyone involved.. Cringe to the bone.
I had a much better name for Skull Merchant when I first saw her though I'm positive I cannot share that name here. :x

what saves wesker for me is how goofy his counterplay is at times; all he can do is dash in hard straight lines so sometimes you can loop him on a fire barrel. my favourite is hitting him with the fire barrel and have him fly past through a dropped pallet and he vaults it. bye!
I like wesker more these days maybe because I was there when he released. he was such a blatant tunneler back then

Hag is never a good match for me. Triggering her traps from a mile away, the camera snapping in a different direction just totally throws me off every time. I'm just glad I don't run into her very often.
And also Myers, because I always have to assume that he has Tombstone, even when he doesn't, and that just prompts me to hide in lockers all game, and that's no fun.

I might hate Ghost Face the most, but the one Killer I just cannot stand to see is Pinhead. There's nothing at all that I enjoy about his chain hunts. Two things happen: either nobody goes for the box. Or I go for the box and get teleported to, or I risk my own personal chain hunt hell waiting for him to down someone and pick them up before solving it. Feels like a lose, lose situation.
Luckily they are pretty rare, but the ones you do see tend to be very good.

I don't think I have ever had an enjoyable match against them.

Hag. Nothing else even comes close. Killer that has to commit to area denial due to her kit with no real chase (boring) and the most arduous counterplay (boring).
Other than playing against her for the first time back when DBD was scary to me, I cannot think of a single positive memory I have when playing against Hag in DBD.

It probably didn't help that if you came back around his release, it was very much in the midst of the awful Call of Brine/Eruption gen kicking meta - probably one of the most infuriating times for me in recent memory. I actually quit the game for months around this time until they nerfed Eruption and COB and Wesker was right in the middle of that.
You actually reminded me of this and I think it may also be part of why I reflexively recoil at hearing Wesker's music lol

I have a similar experience with Blight and the Ruin + Undying meta, tbh. That one was also very miserable.

Very surprised to see very few Legion replies. I have managed to hold on to a good part of my positivity and I don't hate going against most killers (mostly just hate toxic behavior, not the characters), but I find Legion just tests my patience and positivity, the never-ending mending simulator is just an exercise in futility and the fact that a lot of teammates just give up halfway through the match makes going up against Legions even worse. I think I'd rather play a game called Sisyphus Simulator.
