Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

We can't really do anything here. You'll need to report this through the official cheat reporting form.

I think something can be done here. Anti-cheat software like Easy Anti Cheat analyze only interaction with game from other software. But the game itself can do some analysis (especially on the server side) - for example compare what player do (speed, distance to object with player interact, etc.) and what player can do based on perks, statuses and other variables and trigger some actions or alerts if player actions out of possible limits.

I genuinely admire your optimism… but I’m afraid I have to dismantle an illusion here: Dead by Daylight has never had proper server-side validation.

What you described is entirely possible from a technical standpoint and common in many competitive online games. But unfortunately, DBD’s architecture still relies heavily on client trust. No reliable server-side checks for movement speed, action ranges, or perk logic are actively enforced in real time. And judging by the development direction over the years, that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.

It’s not a question of feasibility… just priority. And sadly, cheat prevention has never ranked particularly high.
