Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Do you think Springtrap will get gutted like SM after the latest nerf?

In the PTB Springtrap felt balanced.

After his release all his add-ons were nerfed and his perk too. ( Haywire )

I hope not. He’s fun to face ☹️ I don’t think he can stall the game in any way like skull merchant could before the gen-kick cap so I don’t see why he’d be nerfed the same way.

Nah, BHVR haven't really gutted any recent licensed killers outside of Chucky. Dracula is still very strong, Vecna is decent and got some buffs. Kaneki is still strong despite the nerfs. Maybe they'll tone him down but I don't think they'll destroy him or gut him.

he already feels bad to play as, idk huntress is just way better and more fun, wish they made his power more forgiving when trying to do orbitals so atleast you could do something new, but his coldown is so long and slows him down, but instead his main power is just to two tap survivor which is freakin boring

BHVR wouldn't dare gut a popular character no matter how good they are but if the character doesn't many players they're completely fine with it sooooo

I kinda like to play against him, so don't really see a reason for big nerfs. Lot of bug fixes for sure…
He has also huge skill ceiling, so I expect him to be quite popular, but I will take him over Kaneki any day.

Skull Merchant had a massively high win rate, regardless of the people ragequitting against her.

Springtrap definitely doesn’t have that issue. I don’t think people realize just how much easier it is to hit a survivor with a charged huntress hatchet at mid range, than Springtrap’s lobbed hatchet (which has a much worse z-axis margin of error). Huntress is also way better at punishing bodyblocking, because she has multiple hatchets, and a much lower cooldown after throwing a projectile.

And Springtrap is performing worse than pre-nerfed Ghoul, even though Springtrap has audio issues that are boosting his performance.

I don’t think he needs to be gutted. The doors need something but other than that I feel he’s fine. The only time I have lost is from the him springing from the door 10 feet away or tunneling and camping. Other than that he’s easy to avoid.

No, Springtrap is fine. He needs some bugfixes but he does not need any nerfs

Killers get nerfed when there are problems, unknown got buffed from ptb to live, same for chucky, vecna, dracula, houndmaster and ghoul.

Yes, Springtrap got some less than ideal changes therefore BHVR decided they hate him and will slowly tear him to shreds whilst I am forced to watch.

Can we just...chill? SM was the most hated killer that ever touched this game in a way that can't be easily replicated, while I completely understand being upset with how BHVR handled her (it was loosey goosey and led to a character people spent money on being gutted), it's not like the most requested killer in Springtrap is about to get orbit nerfed, especially considering most already consider him to be in a relatively good place, which can't be said for any of SM's previous iterations (aside from I think 2.0 which had some fans).

While I don't like some of the add-on nerfs and the Haywire change is genuinely baffling, people are so quick to say "Is this the next Skull Merchant??" that it genuinely leaves me wondering if a lot of the people saying it were even here that long ago.

I like springtrap….my ONLY problem is 20 seconds of undetectable after leaving a door. They shouldn't be given the ability to explore half the map to find a survivor while undetectable. If one has any game sense, 10 seconds would be PLENTY of time to make use of undetectable and get an ambush hit in.

Other than that, I think he is the fairest and most fun killer to go against in a long time…since Chucky maybe…..who I felt was neither OP, broken, or unfair.

His scamper was a free hit at most loops and he had his power constantly. His current version also isn't gutted in the least.

Hard disagree he is a clunky slow shell of his former self

But still viable and capable of some interesting and crazy things.
