The Axe and unhooks?

Are we supposed to be able to unhook with an axe in our back? Seems a little weird not to be able to, since no other killers powers follow this logic.. Is it a bug or by design? It's terrible either way.

    I think you can unhook with victor on your bach which is more less realistic but they also removed doctor ability to stop unhook, survivor should be able to unhook in every situation and pay back is they loose antitunnel like basekit bt,ds,otr only thing that stayes but cant be used in animation is dead hard.
