Jump Scared achievement
Has anyone found a reliable way to coerce survivors into using the doors for this achievement?
I just played like 10 back-to-back games of Springtrap and the survivors never used the doors a single time.
I used to have 100% achievement progress in this game and this achievement is now a major roadblock to getting it back.
The only progress I've made so far is trying to get the survivors to farm with me and asking them to get in the doors, but I don't wanna get it like that…

Most achievements I prefer coming up with a strategy or dedicating the playtime, but getting survivors in the security room is just extremely difficult. There's no real way you can play the game to influence survivors to ever use the doors. I would farm this one and not feel bad about it.

Sorry to say I won't ever use the doors, risk / reward isn't worth it. I understand the logic if someone is in a chase for fast transport but maps aren't that big.
But on the otherside you'd probably be amazed how many survivors run striaght into a door at the start & get grabbed! (What they think the first thing the killer will do is beyond me!)
Beyond farming (not a fan either) or throwing waiting in there for someone to come along (if you can do that, don't own spring trap, never will) I'm sure someone will wander in.
Wish you luck though, I'm an achivement player myself just about come to terms with never getting 100% on dbd!

you cant, survivors are either bad at the game and are deathly scared of using the doors whatsoever or good at the game and would only use them when you cant possibly grab them.
im already seeing survivors using the doors for escape because some of them are very far away from other doors (naturally) so if they see me coming, they can wait for me to get a bit close and then just jump into the door because i cant possible make it to the door for a grab in the time games me for it (which is about 3 seconds because I also have a 2 second long entering animation) and if I just follow them, they prerun & make distance.
this is just sad. springtrap gave up map control for nothing.

I farmed it. Otherwise you'll be waiting forever to get it because survivors never use the doors.

Oh I don't think much of Springtrap's power budget went into the door grabs, it seems kinda like Dredge's locker grabs in that it's not something that will trigger much and it wasn't designed to. But there's no achievement to get 15 locker grabs as Dredge.

I ended up finding some memeing survivors in a game that were up to help me farm the last 10 or so grabs that helped me complete the achievement. Normally I'm willing to grind out stuff for achievements as well, but I'd prefer to play something other than Springtrap for a month or two straight to get 10 random grabs to finish it off.

I've been playing Springtrap almost every day since his release, most of the matches with a build made specifically to facilitate that achievement, and I only got 11 grabs so far. Yesterday I had 10, so I played for hours only to get ONE eventually, and there are days I get NONE regardless of how many matches I play. It relies way too much on luck, that luck being… being matched against survivors who haven't realized yet that doors are a death trap.
By the way, the build I use to make the achievement easier involves taking information perks and add-ons to see when a survivor is about to use a door and teleport there, but there are still many, many, MANY matches no one ever uses a door, so you still need luck and the build only helps you to take the oportunity when it happens. I use Lethal Pursuer and Floods of Rage for aura reading, the green add-on that increases the speed you go through doors and the purple add-on that gives you killer instinct of survivors near doors when you wind up your axe. Still, the add-ons gave me two or three grabs at best, and I'm pretty sure the perks gave me NONE.
Seriously, there wasn't a single time I noticed the aura of a survivor getting to a door, teleported there and it resulted in a grab. Nobody tries to interact with doors at the beginning of a match when Lethal Pursuer works, and a lot of coincidence would be needed for someone to use a door 9 seconds after an unhook (I wouldn't even try using BBQ, everyone knows Springtrap usually enters the nearest door after hooking a survivor). The killer instinct add-on at least worked a few times, but even then, most of the time you detect killer instinct the survivor is just on a gen near a door. When they actually interact with them, I usually only realize it when I hear a security camera's sound effects, then find which door they are using via killer instinct, then teleport there, but most survivors just let go of the door before I can grab them. There was ONE time a survivor teleported towards me by accident and got grabbed even sooner, another one they didn't let go in time and another one they actually tried travelling through doors and I predicted with killer instinct. All the other cases were not related to any perk or add-on at all. So most of the time you simply… play until you notice someone making a mistake, like using a camera and taking too long to let go or entering a door during a chase (if that happens, don't m1 then at the door, wait for them to enter and then enter yourself, so it will count towards the achievement).

Dredge's locker grabs are way better designed and far more likely to happen, too. Most survivors NEED locks to counter Dredge properly and spend a lot of time in a match touching lockers because of them, and a Dredge player can take advantage of that with aura reading perks or one specific blue add-on. But no survivor needs to touch Springtrap's security doors at all, not even for the cameras. If anything, trying to use door travel or cameras is a bad idea, because it puts you at risk AND wastes time that could be spent doing gens.

Playing survivor, I actually saw a teammate use Springtrap's doors the entire match. Traveling through them, over and over again. And he never got a single grab on her.
It was weird.
Oh, also, as I've said elsewhere on the forums, I did this achievement by cheesing it. I stood at an edge-of-the-map door or traveled through two low-visibility doors over and over again. It's by no means a fast way to do it, it took a lot of matches, but gradually it got done. And that was when the audio bug was still around.

I got the achievement in a way that didn't bother me, which was I played for 8 hooks and then converted into a farm game after. It still felt like I had to earn it.
This and Left For Dead are pretty much the only achievements in the game I had to have the other side give me. But at least with Left For Dead, the killer realized what I was trying to do and let me have it, I didn't need to beg for it.

True its hard like the one when you must get 30 grabs with ghoul luckyly if you be friendly then survivors may help you get it.

gonna be honest I actually forgot you could even interact with the doors as survivor

I think that this is an achievement that only Springtrap mains who binge play him 24/7 are gonna get, as it is something that very rarely happens. I think that the devs should also count the times you grab the axe out of their backs for this achievement since you're also jumpscaring them.
I guess if you're really desperate to get it, you can try signal the last survivor to help you farm when everyone else is dead and then give them hatch once you're done.

Might just have to try and ask for help. Smack the door when a survivor is nearby to try give them the hint.

Newer players will try to run from you through the door. You will need to hold yourself back from hitting them.

I helped a Springtrap farm this on day one haha. Otherwsie, I'm never setting foot in there unless the killer is in chase, carrying someone, or otherwsie occupied.

I've had a couple angy Traps going out of their way to look for me while I run off giggling, I thought I was just annoying them but now I think they were going for the achievement.

yup, there is ZERO reason to use cameras or doors apart from a few instances.
springtrap is not the killer that requires survivors to constantly rotate around the map.
dredge gets way more opportunities for grabs.

I helped someone farm for this earlier - Saw them swinging at a door and figured that was what they wanted….I was right :D
