Tunneling killers
so just outta curiosity when are you guys gonna start punishing killers that go back to every unhook and blatantly tunnel someone 3 times thats all this game is now and all the event has been you wanna put in the go next feature for survivors but no punishment for killers feels like this company only cares about making killers happy while survivors have to suffer

What do you think about straight up banning killers that get reported for tunneling? Like the first time you tunnel you get a 24 hour ban from queueing so you can learn your lesson. I bet that would fix the problem

so you agree with tunneling 1 person 3 times sounds like you are part of the problem you guys have plenty of perks to stop gens popping super fast we can only do so much when a killer refuses to chase anyone but 1 person ye we can take hits but they stipp go for 1 person

Depends sometimes you must gues what will killer do, he maybe doesnt have any information only near hook he knows there are two people, you cant heal every time uder hook especialy when its killer with good mobility. In this event I had two game where survivors bodyblock on first hook, he is the first one hooked and they save him when Im near so he bodyblocks like what he thinks I'll go after the savior who is healty or him for sweat one shot. Some players tunnel like it was turnament but other times tunnel doesnt mean the killer wants to do it situations like few gens left and he has under 6 hooks or he wont find other survivors so he goes for the one he finds, savior wont take chase and runs in strong loop on 2 gens etc. its not always that killer want 100% tunnel and if they come back to the hook then you must consider what killer is that (does he have good mobility to be back fast), in what situation he is now (how progressed is the game, how many gens are left,people dead or hooks he have) or the one I mentioned before, some players like me dont like when you use antitunnel as bodyblocks for no reason or if ther's reason they will see it as insult like tbag and they will go after you to punish you for that.

i agree with some like tbag but im talking the killers that go back to hook every unhook when a single gen hasnt even popped bot healing under hook just cant get away before he has started coming back will walk by everyone to chase the one that got unhooked kills a person out the game with 5 gens left and no one els has been hooked example springtrap has doors near most hooks when he decideds to tunnel you cant do much

the gen rushing has become absolutely insane and the pallet spamming dev's are doing nowadays like on dead sands and withered isle with the double pallets is awful to deal with, tunnelling is the only way to balance the rounds

It's a legitimate tactic. How many times do the devs need to say this? It's efficient to get one player out as quickly as possible. Devs need to make it more fun and efficient to not tunnel

i play killer and can 4k most games without tunneling if your bad just say that sorry not sorry

I know but sometimes you go back to the hook because you dont know where are the other two survivors or you dont have killer who can go to the other side of the map to chase them thats it, or you need that one kill asap if you want to have chance to get more than 1 kill. But some killers tunnel straight up thats tru but they are super rare only thing that is more rare is facecamping bubba.

I don't tunnel personally unless I absolutely need someone out now. I usually get 3 kills as most of my main killer choices.
If you get tunneled and go down it's just you playing badly sorry not sorry

When I see going next prevention and afk crows from last patch I have no hope for anti tunnel thing, it has 90% chance of being a disaster, i'll believe it when I see it… run OTR in the meantime

Its not so much the amount of people who make these types of claims for either side, its the fact they might honestly believe that their experience is the only experience.
DBD is an elimination game. The killer eliminates survivors to complete their objective. The survivors eliminate gens to complete their objective. Apples and Oranges are both fruit.

If it was a "legit strategy" it wouldn't be being looked into to be changed, it wouldn't be the reason hundreds to thousands of people quit the game as their complaints of it fell on deaf ears. "Legit strategies" have counters that be accessed any time during the game, tunneling is not something that can be countered any time in the game, you HAVE to bring perks before the game even begins to counter it. "Just play better" there is no playing better when a killer wants you dead. They will forgo bodyblocking, and everything a team does to stop them, but it doesn't matter all it does it prolong the inevitable. Killers innately have the tools to tunnel and make the game easier and in turn purposefully make the game less enjoyable for survivors.
Genrushing doesn't exist and it never has existed. Survivors playing the game is not "genrushing" just because they aren't all actively trying to flashlight save every down, or sabotage every hook doesn't mean they are "genrushing" they are completing the objective of getting blood points. Tunneling someone is not "completing" anything for the killer, it actively hurts them because it gives them less BP, the shorter a game is the less you receive. Which last time I checked the only "reward" you get in DBD is BP, no ranks, no visible MMR, you get BP.

Nope, I responded to the correct post. Because what you responded to was a response about survivors genrushing.
Just because something isn't bannable doesn't make it a "legit strat", because yet again, if it was a "legit strategy" they wouldn't be **ACTIVELY CHANGING IT**.

Tunneling is fine any time as long as repairing more than one generator at a time is fine for survivors.

Anti-tunneling is set to be added in phase 2 of the QoL initiative, between July and December.

Tunneling is part of the game and is never going anywhere. By adding more perks to counter it, like Shoulder the Burden, the practice has only become further embedded into the game's fundamentals. And the newest killer is one of the best tunnelers ever.

having gen perks for killers is not enough there’s 4 against 1. You’re going against against 16 perks which equals 4 survivors. Do u think it’s easy to not tunnel when u have survivors bring gen rushing builds and their second chance tunneling perks??

They aren't working to "fix" them, and we don't even know what they are doing yet. They are working to deter them. There is a difference.

Don't worry, they will eventually be forced to implement base kit anti tunnel measures so hold tight.
This is becoming more of a problem and I do see several D tier content creators trying to push a tunnel meta, so with influences like this it will only speed up the process, as did the 4man slug meta with the abandon feature.
It sucks at present because we are in the middle of it but they will be forced to address it sooner rather than later

Good one! Except I have one account, and it seems that multiple people are downvoting you, so your statement can't be all that popular, or correct for that matter.
And you can try to say they are only trying to "deter" these things. Because obviously the multitude of perks in the game that are "anti-tunneling" are doing so much to "deter" the problem from existing that we have posts on every single forum for the game, and that yet again, they are actively working on a fix for it.

That's the whole point. Death Is not an escape. Survivors are meant to suffer game in game out. Sticking to the true lore of the game. That's why I love this game. I suffer playing survivor and deal the suffering as killer lol
