Can cheaters force-DC you?
Had a game just now against a sweaty four-man with flashlights and medkits, and I was kicking the absolute CRAP out of them. Was running Freddy with the paint brush and Franklin's/Weave and got a strange disconnection error (my internet was fine, and there were things wrong with the endgame afterwards) right after smacking a flashlight out of Sable's hand (or was it Mikayla?) seconds after she went back for it.
I wonder if they thought it'd be okay to do if they thought I was cheating, too (I would've absolutely believed that I was cheating if I were them the way I was playing; combination of dumb luck and info on basically the entire map had me looking like the best DBD player in all of history - but the occasional game like that does happen).
While we're on the subject, new Freddy is stronger than I expected. Teleporting to healing survivors is borderline-OP, honestly, and that Paint Brush iri is definitely OP. Running Franklin's/Weave/NOED/Bamboozle with Paint Brush and Pill Bottle turns him into a ######### beast.

Yes, cheaters can manually DC you, in fact they can even crash your game entirely. Suspiciously-timed "server crashes" are sometimes the work of a cheater.
There's honestly not much they can't do, they can even bypass server-closing time.

Year or two ago this happen tome like 1 in 10 games I think its called DDoS attacking but to answer this yes they can and more look at Hens video about cheaters and you can see they can almost everything in this game from flying and instaescape to choose who they play with. Had some nea few days ago and she just got inside of gen infront of me when I chased her and repair the gen whit no worries, maybe one day bhvr aticheat will work but Im afraid that will be long journey.

Most of time you know its cheater is when you winning and they dont want to dc so they pull this move on you so you get penalty for dc.

I've Encountered this before. How you can tell if this is the case is if ur winning and more and more the server is lagging and bugging then you got a hacker that is trying to lag you out to get a DC win which is forcing the killer or survivors to DC from the match. Morely it's from players who are just Raging to the point they hack the server to ensure you don't get the win

Yes, they can. I've seen it happen before. I'm pretty sure they can also mark your account to guaranteed face you again, as I faced the same team of cheaters twice in a row during peak times…the chances of that happening naturally are next to none.

between them and the toxic players this game is super not fun anymore

Yeah, they can. I don't know if they can disconnect a specific player, but they can absolutely cause the whole match to crash at least. Hopefully BHVR will have some real measures against cheaters coming up, but there isn't anything about it in the QoL roadmap. Server side validation, I don't know, I just feel like in a game as big as DBD which is multiplayer only, it shouldn't be possible to do the things that cheaters can do right now. It's like the server doesn't question what the client sends to it at all. This isn't the case in 99% of other huge multiplayer only games, which is why teleporting around the map and instantly killing the whole enemy team isn't possible in something like CS, Valorant, League or Dota, but completely possible in DBD. Although DDOS like you mention can happen in those games as well, so maybe that's even more difficult to fix. Something's gotta change.

Yeah I have been surprised what cheaters can do… it is one thing to cheat which already ruins the game.

I remember back in the day people could use a spam macro to crash the game. They'd do something like click a flashlight 1000 times in a split second.
