Great addition to the game. Helps reduce the amount of losers that just kill themselves on hook the milisecond something doesnt go their way.

Nothings changed, now they just DC or just run at me to make me hook, or if slugged just deny any survivor healing them.

I had the most points in a match yesterday. Strange thing was, I was the only one who died because even after saving them multiple times and doing 3 Gens by myself, the Last Gen I finished with the Killer close but figured I'm unhooked, if I get caught, someone will save me. But NO. That's what us Solo's have to deal with. I thought well must be all noobs but NO. A 3 and two 4 Ranked on these characters. As a SOLO player, it happens to us all the time. If I'm hooked and dont see no one even taking a step in my direction, I'm ready to give myself two shots at it if I don't take too long. If I decide the way these guys play, they should come for me and dont, okay I have one shot. As it stands I have none now unless I use a Perk spot. Truth be told, if you leave me hanging and take me off late so I get two strikes, only the person who took me off I will save now unless we are near the end, and I will die to save that person. I save everybody that plays the right way and will die for them. This hook nonsense is such a huge change, it will hurt the game and drive SOLO Regulars like me to find a new game to spend our time on and I really don't see how this change helps anyone when the biggest GO NEXT problem stems from selfish play so who are all these. "losers who just kill themselves" and more importantly, why are they killing themselves seems to be the issue that needs fixing. Maybe you should be a better teammate. Maybe if someone saves you, you should at least try and return the favor and not leave them to get 2 strikes on one hook or die on their only one. Maybe I need to get some friends to play with me or find a new game. At this point I'm pretty sure it has to be one of these two. This is not the same game anymore, after today's update. It's gone too far.

It doesn't fix rat behavior at all. Now "teammates" just farm you on hook even if the killer is across the map in chase, they just hold M1 on a gen while you go through all hook stages after you looped the killer for 3 full gens.

Reason 1. I wanted to note a scenario that I have seen. I had it happen in multiple recent matches where I or someone else was hooked, two slugged, and the last one was injured. That is the appropriate time to try to jump off the hook and possibly turn around the entire game, but you can't because of the number of players alive. The mechanic is there to give you a slim glimmer of hope or chance to survive when things go south. Ideally you want to be rescued, but it is meant to be a risk you can take when that doesn't appear like it can happen. Luck is supposed to increase you odds not be your only hope. I fully understand and have been frustrated with teammates killing themselves on first hook too, but a survivor that wants to die will die, go afk, sabotage, or disconnect anyway. Disconnecting is the best outcome because sometimes the bot is more helpful anyways, but bots have their problems too.

Reason 2. It gives the killer an advantage that they didn't have before. I know it is supposed to punish disconnecting players and help the players from being left with bots. However, it now seems like it just assures the killer they can now go peacefully slug after first survivor is hooked unless they see luck when loading in. This was meant to keep a player engaged for longer but has now turned the first player hooked into bait for campy and slugging killers even more so. As a player you already have to be very selective with perks and now you have to use a slot or offering to give yourself at least a 1% chance.

The game has never been serious enough for me to really care one way or the other if someone goes next. I understand why they do and I don't blame them. Often times it's the right call, even when it's bias against a certain Killer.

My trials don't feel radically different without it and I knew that they wouldn't. The same problems persist, you're just forced to invest more time in a lost cause than you had to before.

If such a major part of the game's design can be made optional by bringing a common offering then maybe there's no reason for it to be optional in the first place.

The fact that "No" is winning proves that this change was necessary. I'm even happier about it, now.

if you can't bring a luck offering despite the game being generous with them that's your fault

Why can't you AT LEAST TRY when the abbandon match pops up. Like you mean that I can abbandon the match but not try further?

I also feel like you dhouldn't be able to try ehrn there is only 2 players alive, but when there is 1 player either injured or healthy.

Yes, but I think you should get 1 attempt still, just for those desperate situations where everyone is downed and such. The 1 try shaves of 10 seconds of your hook timer instead of 15 like it used to.

Matches are much better and teamwork is greatly improved. This simple change has reduced the amount of "time to kill myself" players in matches by, like, 80% or something. I'd much rather hash out the match with a bot than a worthless 3v1 we COULD HAVE won if there was an extra pair of hands to save Claudette #2

as a killer main I heavily respect you for your sacrifices

but I personally believe they should just get the time penalty instead of this
