Your solo que escape rate.
Seems silly that it need be said but now more than ever, close scrutiny is required. I'm just not buying the information I'm seeing. I average 2 or 3 escapes for every 50 solo que games. Playing with a mic? Above 60%. Here is what solo que look like. Explain to me what is happening and why. I did two of the gens by myself and 1 while helping another. The game previous, I hid in a locker with head on, in hopes the chase was being brought my way. I planned on buying the person being tunneled a couple seconds. They come up to my locker with the killer in tow and open it on front of the killer and are promptly downed for their death hook. Now we know that abandonment equals an escape for survivor. I have plenty of videos like this for any doubters. An overwhelming heap of evidence.
Again I say, this is less a bhvr problem than a community problem.

You're not buying your own escape rate stats or someone else's? I'm not sure what point you're trying to make tbh.

Anyone else's. To be clear...abandonment...is being counted as an escape.
Help me with this one. What is the solo pro play to be made in this situation? Once again, I am one of two people actually doing gens. Upon seeing the silliness afar, I was left to wonder, how can I...as a solo player offset the behavior of the reality challenged goombas? Fortunately, I was playing the event and the solution was outside of my synthetic knowledge. I was just then pondering how to micromanage an escape by doing something with my toes while honoring my sense of bewilderment.

My escape rate is 36% and i usually play with a friend that is 100x better than me.
My last solo q i did 30 games and won 2 because baby killers.

I play strictly solo queue when playing surv and have since 2020 (when I started playing survivor), and more and more surv each year since. I've played 3-4 matches not totally on my own, and all of them were years ago. According to DBD's stats, my global escape rate is just a hair under 40%.
4 -
I can attest to this. I have been in solo matches with you :)

why don't you post a screenshot of your escape rate/stats?

I don't have access to the stats due to some message about my account already existing. Would I be exaggerating how bad they are? It got a little better as the night went on but probably 10 out of 50 escapes. I have friends that I play with on a mic who are a lot better than I am at playing this. They flat out refuse to play with randoms. They know. You can outplay a killer but one can't outplay or even hope to offset randoms. At least half my deaths are due to them while playing solo.

seems about right for me

Mine is 40% for last 30 days. 40.71% for all time.

Epeen reigns supreme. Keep abandoning.

I've been keeping track of all my survivor matches since the beginning of the year. Over the last 30 days, I've played 220 matches of solo survivor and escaped in 74 of them for an escape rate of 33.6%.

I have been playing solo for over 8 years! Played duo 5 times ever died in 4 of them (other duo's fault!)
I absolutely get games completely trashed by my teammates but I'm sorry anyone escaping 2 or 3 games out of 50 needs to rethink their perk selection & playstyle!
Last 6 games i've escaped,
Last 30 days stats (though really only since event started)
All time stats (all time on xbox anyway other systems aren't linked otherwise my stats would be improved!!!
Solo queue is a grind, its not especially fun, & your teammates will kill you more than the turbo tunneling killers but I don't & never have recognised the solo queue is impossible take.
Some games absolutely are but the majority? Game & event is killer sided, most swf are honestly terrible & kill themselves trying too hard to save their buddies or goofing off.
My personal solo build is
Bond, dejavu, empathy & Kindred
IInformation Is key in this game & always has been, yes swf get all that info for free, sucks having to use perks but maybe those that are struggling give it a try, you'll know where your team are almost all game, which gens to focus on, who needs healing, when to save or stay on gen & so much info on exactly where the killer is in a chase (or heading after a hook) can't account for bad teammates that doesn't mean you can't make better plays.

Abandon feature is new. The stats page is data over 5 years. What you've done in the last 2 weeks won't sway those numbers unless you're new player within the last year.

No ######### clue. This paragraph is so out of left field and I don't know what you were trying to convey from it.

What exactly is that video proving? You instantly abandon as soon as the Meg hit the ground and leave the results screen before any text appears. Why are you sharing this?

Still pretty good. A balanced escape rate having 4 people who are allied with your side vs a singular common opponent is 38.5%, so youre above the baseline.

Small sample size cause I rarely play survivor (it's not fun), but I mean… the game's are genuinely not difficult. That's why I never really understand the whole "omg the game is ruined for survivors" stuff cause like maybe I just don't play enough of it. But the fact that my killer to survivor playtime is like 95/5 and I can still manage to escape a majority of the time? Gotta mean something.
I understand some of the gripes but the game is by no means "unplayable" as survivor.

I didn't sign up for my results but I've escaped 45-ish times since the rift dropped, according to the milestone rewards. I'm sure that's about 40%. I will say the majority of those are the result of the events though, which does skew it quite a bit.

Lmao. I'd be lucky if I escape 2/10 matches. All I play is solo. I know I'm dying. It's ass. I know this going in. I play for points. It's a cold day in hell when I load into a solo and I'm playing with a team that actually touches gens. It's mostly me and maybe one other that will while half the team squats behind rocks.

this is with the abandon glitch idk, I just never escape LOL

Escape rate in solo queue, only thing I play, is 35% all time. Seems about right. I'm overly altruistic and will go in for a save no matter the circumstances. Really enjoy getting someone else out of the trial, even if I end up dying on a hook.
Solo queue is what you make of it. Try out different Perk selections. I find my builds to rarely even touch the Meta Perks. There's a couple I'll use in certain builds, but for the most part I pick a role and then build to support it. If you're having difficulty escaping, check your game play and builds. Frequently, especially for solo queue, you are better off the Meta. Perks like Aftercare, Bond, We'll Make It, Calm Spirit, and a few others can really help out as a solo. They aren't worthwhile for SWF, especially aura/info Perks since they get those for free with comms, but having that info can make it or break it at times.

Surely perks and playstyle can overcome terrible randos. I have over 8000 hours in this game in 8 years.
I am killed by randos almost as much as killers.

Do your BHVR stats match your own records? I'm suspicious that my official escape rate is higher than it should be, but that could be negativity bias.

Last 30 days, 100% solo, and also not hitting abandons like some ppl believe. I am however a 2016 veteran tho, mained killer for many years, so I have seen survivors abuse broken loops for that long and now… I'm abusing all those broken loops myself, now that I know exactly how to run them to have efficient chases. This escape rate is the result of thousands of hours of killer PTSD :D
Also I play kinda selfish as survivor, I don't take risks where I don't need to, especially when I see my teammates doing brand new player stuff/mistakes… But if gens were slammed and everyone had long chases, I will defo go for the altruistic save at the end, on the condition that there is a bodyblock train. Otherwise, I just exit.
So anyone complaining about their 30-40 escape rate when you literally go trade hooks when you are on deathhook, or take other completely unnecesary risks… WHY are you complaining? You are forcing low escape rate on yourself… This is not a balance issue at all.
Edit: I barely played event as survivor btw, it seems all the tryhard killers are there right now ;) easily 90% of my matches are from normal mode.

Yeah, I am also an altruist. I go back in to save people when I could just walk out, I will hook trade when I am on death hook, and will almost always give myself up if it gets others out. That's just the way I like to play.
There's no way of quantifying this, but I would be surprised if my escape rate isn't at least 5-10% lower than it would be if I just played for my own escape in the late/endgame instead of being a foolhardy goober.
And I was wrong (having prior looked at my stats for my top surv) - my all-time (going back to 2020 as a surv) global escape rate is closer to 36%. Of those matches, only a handful (less than 5 total) did I not play on my own. And I don't play seriously, nor consider myself all that good.

It doesn’t count matches where you abandon, so the escape rate is really inflated

A truth neatly negated.
