Will Nurse ever be dethroned?
Nurse has been the best killer in the game since she has come to the game. It seems that no matter how much she gets nerfed she is still by far the best killer. Do you see a day where a new killer becomes the best over Nurse? Seems unlikely at this point

she already kinda is cuz blight has bigger potential if he wins his 50s. you dont beat blight by dying in good spots.
but no, they wont release a killer thats better than nurse because that would require making another killer who doesnt play by traditional fundamental rules of chase.

hopefully not because I dont think there's a genuine problem with nurse being as is on fundamental level.
she's the ultimate "antiloop" killer who makes useless tiles or junk tiles pretty playable and introduces unique chase dynamic overall that's still interactive because of her power specifics. all they really should make with her is to make her blinks a bit more telegraphed for survs and give qols here and there.

It almost happened with the failed Twins rework. That would've dethroned Nurse if it made it out of the PTB

Unless they make a killer that has a map wide ability to just press m2 to automatically down and hook a survivor, no.

i mean, realistically speaking let's not bring up ridiculous almost intentionally overpowered killers.
like ofc a killer that moves 5.2 and 2 taps survivors with unavoidable power is going to be stronger than nurse but that's cheating

That will be very long time before they rework nurse, she is in specific spot where nerfing makes her much harder to play as and isnt optimal because she is 100% dependent on her power and only killer who plays like this (there are few killers who are very delendent too like 110% speed ones hag,spirit). On avarage she has normal killrates not so high like blight or freddy if we dont talk about the high mmr where nurse mains rule. In history of dbd there were few characters close to nurse like original spirit, prenerfed blight with strongest addons (compound 33,alchemy ring), teins rework and someone would say ghoul when released but that is still isnt stronger than blights full potential. There was back in like 2017 nerf when you used blink and hit survivor you have 3 seconds cleaning weapon animation then fatigue and after that you could blink again there wast token change yet, this change make that survibor could get like 40 meters distance and it felt hortible to play as her so devs quicly (it was like two weeks maybe month but back then this was turbo fix from devs) reversed the change with her. To this day you have few nurse types the new guy who is blinking but cant get hits, the avarege joe who can get looped for some time and then he will remember how to play her and get hits and lads nurse main who wont miss much and all you can do is hope you rush gens before everybody is dead.

If it happens hopefully it's because they nerf the top 3 most unbalanced killers at the top (nurse, blight, ghoul) and not because they release another horribly balanced monstrosity.

I feel like it could happen as the game gets older to where she becomes out dated but I still don't think it'll happen because behavior hasn't released another character that canntravel thr map like that besides blight or maybe you could agure the goul

You can't really beat no-clipping.
There have been close cases, one arguably being PTB Twins, but I don't think there will be one that STAYS like that.

Honestly? No. I don't see it ever happening. The only way she can be dethroned is if she gets nerfed enough to be below Blight and she's been around for almost a decade with devs still refusing to try morphing her into a proper DBD character so don't get your hopes up.

I agree with nurse and blight but ghoul? He is quite easier to play but he is around dracula,twins,singularity probably in top 5 maybe 7 killers in the game. I think nurse needs rework (her power is op because only think she can use to get survivors in her power if she has not that addon that makes her 115 for 60 seconds, another reason why is she so strong she was created to counter infinits and broken lopps in early stages of the game she ignores looping ang creates her own way to play against her). Blight needs some fix like ghoul got tokens after palett break, blight is 115 speed and hast 5 rushes needs two to get hit or palett and his recharge is 10 seconds comapare this to spirit who is 110 speed and has 15 seconds cooldown with much weaker power, chucky was hated and gutted because of his cooldown on his power but biggest pretty good job so far moment is blight still exist, I dont want them to nerf the hell out of blight but give him little nerf). Ghoul is pretty good now he was nerfed hard and now has solid counterplay, from all killers he is around in power level I mentioned earlier he has easy mobility and injury on survivor but then he is just m1 with mobility that helps him to catch up no crazy antiloop like dracula,singularity or twins victor. I know there is still huge pandemy in dbd called ghoul phobia second most extended right after skullmerchant phobia but now ghoul is quite in good place only thing maybe he can get is lowering his vault speed when enraged but he has this as some antiloop feature and ist stronger than weskers because he cant down you with his power only get injury and then get close to m1 you.

I think the top 3 all need to be dethroned, the fact we just allow them to exist is really unhealthy for the game.

If you're JUST talking about map traversal, plenty of killers can do that. Dredge can cross the map at a moments notice.

Nurse has already been outclassed by blight and billy for quite a while, the idea that nurse is the best killer in the game and always will be because she breaks the game is herd mentality

Nurse should stay where she is and the other 40 should come closer to her level.

No, bc if nurse would have been released in 2025 not even the current nerfed version would have survived the ptb.
So it would only work if she gets nerfed to be weaker than blight. (to be fair there was a time where blight had busted addons and was arguably stronger than nurse)
But nerfing nurse has always problems.
Approach 1: increase cooldowns, decrease power range etc
Problem: horrible design and miserable to play.
Approach 2: complete rework
Problem: people will miss nurse and complain. (many played her for years). Even the slight different versions with her addons (one-blink etc) are not well liked

Don't think so. Twins weren't crazy strong on PTB they were more from being lethal against 4 injured survivor to be lethal to one healthy survivor. So downing survivor within 20s is something you could already do with other killers and because no one really knows how to counter them (I do, because I mained them), they pushed this rework away, which is not bad, because it would make Twins being played more but ass to go against 1v1, while not so ass in 4v1.
Twins by far have the most counterplay from all the killers, from perks, enviroment to grouping up. Trust me, if you know what to do against Twins they are far from being good, luckily people don't know so the few people playing them feel powerfull.
Edit: To mention that you can trust me on the insane amount of counterplay I know I can prove myself fundamentaly knowing Twins with 94 % kill rate with them currently.
