Heat seeking missiles
how are you supposed to dodge basic attacks when their literally heat seeking missiles. The killer literally has to be awful to miss an attack. Also i find it bs that you can still get hit from attack when smashing them with a pallet but they can step into pallet and block you from dropping pallet kind of unfair.

You don't dodge them, you keep them from getting close enough to land. For a heat seeking missile it doesn't have much range.

Kaneki would like to know your location

those heat seeking attacks, tend to back fire sometimes and make the killer wiff, and the pallet thing is just server related, since it gives priority to who whatever pressed the button first hence why sometimes the killer gets stunned and pushed to the other side of the pallet
and stepping infront of a pallet to block it before u drop is just a skill issue on your side….its not exactly even a mind game its pretty obvious, u see them try it u drop it before they reach it

Your not supposed to dodge them bro. You've been watching too many YT comps

A validation mechanic was tested for hits in 2021 if I recall correctly, but the result was awful.
I remember a match where I was playing on Swamp: I hit a David King, I saw the blood I hear the scream… and he walked away as if nothing had happened.
EDIT: It was a "stun validation". If you wish to read more about it:

After that mess in 2021, my friend, I don't think a validation mechanic should ever be implemented again. Those were some of the most unfair moments you could have in DBD.

Personally, I am not struggling with any unfair hits as survivor recently. Seems to me there are other things making the survivor role worse than it used to be.
But sure, when these situations happen they have to be fixed. Like that desync a couple of patches after Twins release. It existed only in the survivor perspective and it was awful, it had to be fixed.
I'm just saying that I think a validation mechanic, like the stun validation or Dead Hard from the past, shouldn't be implemented again, as they created unfair situations.

For everyone saying that you aren't supposed to dodge them, I assume OP is referring to tome challenges requiring causing the killer to miss attacks. Which are, admittedly, stupidly designed challenges.

If you mean the challenge your best bet is honestly hits that miss at window/pallet vaults. Finesse is a great perk for this, as it can let you vault very quickly and be more likely to have the killer go for a swing that ends up missing.

Obv the youtube video are of turds on custom with friends who literally are attacking way to soon. But the animatronic attack never misses thing locks on and just flies at you from such a distance. And literally its inevitable to dodge forever its just how long unless your one of those players that knows every loop on each map to take to make chase last forever which i dont really care to take the time to learn.
