Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What perks do you think are the most slept on?

What perks do you use often that you think are underappreciated?

For survivor for me rn I think it's Chem Trap and Wicked.

Chem Trap you should pretty much always to have access to with it only being 20% of a gen now and can really force killers into terrible spots if used on god pallets or even longer loops and can be diabolical with finesse when the survivor starts to get close if they refuse to break the pallet and if they do break the pallet you make it to the next loop for free.

Wicked I think the 20 seconds of aura reading is really underappreciated as anti-tunnel. It can tell you if healing under the hook is safe or not and if the killer tunnels right off you get wall hacks for 20 seconds which is massive to buy time until you can figure out a play.

For killer I think it's Languid Touch and Eruption

I can't tell you how many people in end game chats tell me how annoying languid touch is for them. They basically tell me they're exhausted any time they're in my terror radius and I don't notice it in game per se but then I see all the lithes and dead hards I never saw used all game and realized it must have been doing work all game.

Eruption I think isn't slept on per se it still has a decently high usage rate according to nightlight but I don't see it in my games anywhere near as much as I think is warranted for how strong it actually is so I think it is underused. Being able to affect multiple gens at once while potentially being able to see auras for a snowball after a down while stacking it with surge for a possible 18% regression on multiple gens that isn't tied to a scourge hook I think the perk is still incredible and I think slightly underrated currently.

Languid Touch. Sometimes it may hard to notice the exact moment you get value but it can deny almost any exhaustion perk at any given time.

quick and quiet every once in awhile I end up confusing a killer due to a silent vault and it feels satisfying when it happens

    Stake out.

    I'm serious.

The fact it adds an extra 1% to all great skillchecks when you're at one stack means that every great skillcheck on a gen shaves off 2 seconds. Pair this with deja-vu making gens only take 84 seconds by default makes gens fly by.

Get one stack then focus on hitting as many greats as possible with deja vu and you'll see what I mean.

Fast Track. I dunno if it actually overall makes much difference, but being able to just dump a bunch of progress into a gen feels good.

Shoulder the Burden and Reassurance come to mind. You'll seldom see these perks in solo queue, yet spreading hooks evenly across the team makes for a stronger chance at victory. Keeping your teammates who last less than fifteen seconds in chase on the hook until another chase is initiated is also a boon and leads to far less tunneling. It's a shame that you'll commonly find players farming their teammates when they have 45+ seconds remaining on their hook timer with Reassurance to boot.

Kindred. I know it's somewhat used but not used as much as usefull it is. Even for yourself its great to know when you leave the gen, when you go for rescue, if the killer is camping or not, in end-game helpfull too, etc. Yes, the HUD reduced need of Kindred but it's still very usefull in SoloQ.

    • surv: dark sense (reminds me of the old spine chill) - clairvoyance (the best perk to find hatch) - sole survivor (in Solo q is simply amazing) - build to last (amazing, now he's also been buffed and didn't need it at all🤣 )

    • killer: languid touch (extraordinary, used alone it kills all exhaustion perks and "iron will") - remember me (When it works well, it's one of the strongest perks in the game) - darkness revealed (free information every 30 seconds by doing one of the stupidest actions in the game... there will always be at least one aura revealed)

As solo survivor all strong info perks like Bond, Kindred, Wicked are slept on. Bond is amazing giving info all the time with no cooldowns you should see it in every lobby and you don't.

Deception, the amount of killers I've lost or distracted with a deception play makes my game when I'm using it.

Now if only mirrored Illusion would make generator/totem cleansing noises, so I can use this too more effectively.

I think leverage is kinda underrated, it's a really good anti meta / alternative pressure option, especially with sloppy.

For Killer: Whispers. It's a perk which cannot be countered, (with games sense) is very useful in finding survivors, guarantees a win if the hatch is closed and exit gates are far apart, as well as a good indicator for stealth Killers when to activate. Always guaranteed value when used.

[Notable mentions: Spies From The Shadows, Forced Penance, Languid Touch, Darkness Revealed]

For Survivors: No One Left Behind. Turns a survivor into an all-knowing machine, able to turn the tide in a pinch, good for those final saves. Personally, I love this perk.

[Notable Mentions: Diversion, Lightweight, Leader, Dramaturgy]
