So what happened to the "Survivor reveals when they do nothing" mechanic?
1 Survivor did absolutely nothing the entire match but wait for the hatch to spawn with no reveals. They never touched a Generator and only saved when someone ELSE got hooked. I guess that's another thing BHVR went back on. Typical. This is why giving TOO MANY BP for just being altruistic is TERRIBLE game design. Being altruistic is NOT the objective to win. Doing Generators is.
Come to think of it why would anyone want to touch Gens when you can just heal and save to get the most points? So many stupid decisions in this game it makes my head spin…

I don't know about reveal (aura) but the Devs over fixed the crows where it takes much much longer to spawn.

They announced that they loosened the requirements significantly for now since it kept spawning crows on ppl participating in normal gameplay. They're trying to figure out a sweet spot so crows arnt spawning on ppl breaking hex totems and such.

Did you 4K slug, hoping the crows would reveal the last survivor? Sometimes it's tough to pick up the downed survivor in that situation, not impossible, especially if the killer gets greedy, but I get why some players just wait for the hook. Honestly, I don’t think survivors should be punished for hiding in that kind of scenario. If I were you, I would add Friends 'Til The End, Whispers, Darkness Revealed, Spies in the Skies, or even Barbecue & Chilli to your build.
To answer your question, people eventually have to leave the match. If everyone just focused on gens while teammates died on hook, it’d explain why the whole ‘go next’ mentality exists. With a busy killer, sometimes a player’s main role is just to unhook and heal. The support that the altruistic survivors provide helps give their teammates space to work on generators.

I just think its extremely selfish for someone to save the "not as good Survivor" and then let them get found over and over and over again. Why even save them if you are not going to take the heat? Just to be selfish and up your own score is the only thing I can think of. I will for sure try those perks out though. I went through the aura list of perks and majority of them would not have helped to find the 1 hiding unfortunately as they require Gens to be touched or distance requirement jargon.

Thats not necessarily selfish, they could just be expecting the "not as good survivor" to pull their own weight, either by escaping and working on a gen or being effective in chase and wasting a tunneling killer's time. Survivors can provoke killers away from unhooked survivors, but if the killer doesn't even take the bait, what was the point? All they did was waste time they could have been punishing the tunneller for tunneling.
Getting chased on purpose to prevent worse players from catching the killer's attention is usually a good play, but its not the only play. In fact, gluing to gens and maximizing the time of things like the extended hook state can objectively be better plays than bombing the hook for easy points. Better players often tend to be the ones who gather as much info as they can while someone is on the hook, and then adjust to whether the rest of the team is going for the save or not. The "altruism = BP" issue was even worse back when WGLF worked like it should.

Well, part of the issue is that BHVR has not found the sweet spot for AFK crows. In fact, they basically already had it before they decided to make them spawn faster, which put people participating in the match into no-win situations. Now they almost never spawn because they scaled it back too far.
If I had to think of a good solution, I'd say that maybe instead of crows, they should think of something else. Obviously, crows only really help the Killer if they're paying attention or the Survivor has been AFK too long. So, maybe they should think it being something else, and having the requirement for them to spawn be more than basic inactivity.
Perhaps have it be a sound effect, like a crow's caw or something, if you're AFK or haven't interacted with something in, say, a minute or two - probably a bit longer, since it can sometimes take a minute to find a generator or hex totem.
And they'd need to ensure that being in the Killer's terror radius counts, since there will be moments, especially in the endgame on maps where the doors are right next to each other (a feature they really should remove, cause that's just giving an unfair advantage to the Killer) or against high mobility Killers who can cross the map quickly, you're not going to be opening the door at a fast rate, and will likely be hiding a lot.
There's a lot to consider to make it punish toxic Survivors who only want hatch or refuse to put in any work cause they only to escape, without punishing Survivors who are actively participating in the match.
