[Answered] Argument - Are bodyblocking Wraiths reportable ?
According to the official site Dead By Daylight :
Griefing
Use this option to report a player for intentionally using abilities or game mechanics to the detriment of the game. Examples: Taking the game hostage, body blocking, working with the Killer.

Now, I have seen many Wraiths players doing so. Blocking windows, pallets, even sometimes cornering the player so the killer is guaranteed a free hit.
Is this reportable ?

No. Bodyblocking is only reportable when done for extended periods of time (e.g. trapping someone in a corner for an entire match).
Taking hits for teammates or body blocking resources as a killer is acceptable.

No, the killer using methods to get a hit is not reportable. Reportable body blocking in trapping someone so they canโt participate in the game.

Sorry to post basically what you did and be a copy cat. When I was typing there were no replies.
Wish you could delete posts.3 -
No worries!
I've done the same thing many times myself lol

That the same argument saying every survivor who is bodyblocking the killer is reportable. No its just strategy that can backfire into slug or tunnel nothing more.

Temporary body blocking of windows, pallets and other places on the map is a key part of Wraithโs gameplay. Definitely not reportable.

What question you mean ist it reportable? Well you can try but from what I know only bodyblocking reports are with some video proof that killer just bodyblocked you in the corner and hold you there untill endgame collaps killed you, something like that but now counter exists if you have 3 crows above you for being afk (dont get mad you arent afk but game thinks you are) the theres like 10 seconds when you loose colision with enviroment like other survivors and killer (just happens when you get third crow then this goes away). When killer bodyblocks survivor like wraith before uncloak or he swings trough palett and you want to stun him but he already blocked that option for you then this isnt reportable from what I know its just part of the game same with survivors bodyblocking tunnel or after their rescue from the hook for no reason (no reason i mean theres no need to bodyblock you can be dead hook and you are blocking for teammate that hasnt been hooked at all, just stupid way to get tunneled but some survs still doing this and blame the killer for tunnel). Bodyblocking with wraith is the same as blaming killer for tunnel but all he did was he hooked same person again after wondering around map for like 1 minute and havent found anyone except that survivor that was hooked before. So again to your question no I dont think its reportable, but hey you can try it and tell us how it went.

It's not reportable it's literally the way, how he is supposed to be played.

Personally speaking, it really should be reworded to 'trapping a player' instead of 'bodyblocking' but what can ya do.
Bodyblocking is a legit tactic for cutting off windows/pallets, as well as survivors taking hits for their allies.
This rule is meant for the situations where a killer/survivors blocks another survivor in a corner and doesn't move, hit them, or allow them to play.2 -
IMO they should update the verbiage they use for that one report option.
It's meant to apply to only instances of survivors being body-blocked in a corner so that they can't engage in gameplay for an extended period of time, with no other legitimate gameplay reason for doing it (killers who are body blocked into a corner can simply hit whoever blocking them so they are thankfully immune from this).
For example, at 5 gens left I recently got body blocked between a locker and a protruding wall by a legion who missed their lunge. They blocked me for a few seconds until they got their power back, then used it to put me into mending and ran off to chase someone else. That's an example of a legitimate reason to body block in a corner. On the other hand, I've seen killers trap someone (a streamer) in a corner at 3-4 gens left, and just stand there while the rest of the gens got done and the trapped player died to EGC. That's what they're trying to punish with that rule, nothing else

No. Body blocking is only reportable when it's done in a griefing matter. A wraith body blocking a pallet/window (in some cases a corner) is completely fair game as they are faster than you.

I know but I had to wraith is quite weak and him betting bodyblock means survivors doesnt pay much atention about wraiths location or his tactics to get that free hit as you said.

this is going to keep going. I suggest changing the title to answered or something. ๐

Strategic, tactical play using the Killer's power isn't reportable, no. It's also not griefing. Sorry, Charlie. :(

Donโt ask questions if youโre just going to get an attitude when people kindly respond trying to be helpful. I looked at the prior responses and saw that nobody had included the context that bodyblocking is a key part of how Wraith is played, so I thought that would be helpful context to provide.

and again - no need to lash out at people who are responding to a question you posted. Not a great way to make a first impression on the forum.

OP just has to stop getting all pissed off when people respond to their question.
