who was ur first ever killer, and who did u decide to main and why?
For my first, it was legion. I just liked the idea of running around the map like flash and stabbing people nonstop, it was fun at first but after a while i just realized what a truly weak killer he WAS so i stopped.
But then i found knight, and i just really connected w him the instant i tried him, his playstyle, his looks, and everything abt him.
so yea, i stand high and proud as THE KNIGHT MAIN, at least i wanna be known as the knight main

Long time ago now, but I think it was Wraith, back in 2018.

I would say doctor was my first ever killer and I played him for quite a while. He was fun, free and it made finding people easy. Then came ghost face which I mained for ghost face reasons and then I got clapped by Sadako a lot of times, so I switched and stayed with her for a very long time until ghoul came out.

Myers was the character I bought the game for and started playing with. I still enjoy him, but when Skull Merchant came out, she was my absolute favorite, especially when she got her first major rework (rotating, double beams). Since they nuk-I mean nerfed her from orbit, I haven't really felt like maining anyone any more. I don't feel I can fully trust BHVR to not just obliterate a killer I enjoy and put time into, so why bother with the effort.

Demo was my first
1 -
The Doctor was my first, now I main The Nemesis
2 -
My first killer was Freddy, all the way back in 2018, and he was my main for years (2018 - 2025).
I chose him not only because I like ANOES, but because he was unique. I loved his original power.
4 -
My first main was deathslinger but once they removed the quickscoping I moved around on what killer to play until wesker released and he has been my main ever since.
1 -
First main was Knight. I loved the pincer attacks and 3 genning lol. Now, they've completely gutted that playstyle into unusability.
2 -
My first main was Wraith, before I moved on to trying Huntress. Played her for a bit and then swapped to Dredge and Nemesis. Had Ghostface for a while but never learned him until recently.
I liked Wraith because at the time there weren't any other Stealth Killers and Stealth appealed to me. I bought Ghostface day one, but never got around to him until now - I just sort of forgot. Had fun on Huntress for the cool shots I could make, but got tired of how she felt and bounced between Killers until I eventually found Dredge and Nemesis. Never looked back after that.
I like Nemesis because I get to be the KoolAid Man. I like Dredge because I like being a big scary mobile monster. And I like Ghostface because Stealth fon c:1 -
I'd say Sadako, judging that she's the only P100 I have
2 -
Trapper technically, but Michael, Pyramid Head, and Pig were the first ones I actually played a decent amount of trials with. I'd just spook everyone and let them all go. Now I do that with Trapper and Knight lol

My very first killer was Myers back in 2017. Halloween is my favorite horror franchise so the fact I could play as him is why I tried DbD to begin with. My first main was Wraith because I've always liked the stealth killers.
2 -
My first was Freddy because I'm a huge NoeS fan. I main stealth killers though(Myers,Pig) because I like jump scaring people(and facing it too).

Legion was my first killer. I was absolute noob and thought it's going to be fun to play undercover and pretend I'm survivor. According to cinematic it looked cool, but in reality that was scam and Legion was nothing close to it.
And once I realised Legion is a noob stomper and sucks against anything decent, I forgot about it and switched to Plague. She provides decent control over map and quite okayish on everything. At least playing her isn't this boring as modern killers like Kaneki or Vesker. Both are completely no-brainer spammers

First i tried was probably wraith since i started during the first year. First i really liked was sadako until they turned her into a spammer. First i became a dedicated main to was Xenomorph being a huge fan of Aliens and Predator since i was a 90s kid (but id say avp is probably my favorite franchise out of all things).

Clown was mine
2 -
First billy cuz I liked the idea of running with a chainsaw and there weren't other options.
First main was nurse, I got legacy 1 on her, then I was basically "maining" whichever new killer that came out minus a few of them like huntress, spirit, twins, trickster, artist, wesker and skull merchant.
then actual 2nd and main-main killer was the singularity with second being the xenomorph, totalling together ~45% of the recorded playtime on my account.
otherwise im just playing whichever new things comes out and maybe grinding p100 on them if I like the gameplay initially or stick with them long enough, like unknown.

- I started with Trapper, like I think 50% of people who play DBD for the first time. I used (and still use) Pyramid Head after that. When I started playing (2020) it had just been released.

Michael Myers was my first and he's still my main to this day. He's the reason I bought the game.
I am a huge Halloween fan. I find him a lot of fun to play and I think Bhvr did a good job capturing the feel of his character from the movies.

Huntress and deathslinger were first, but deathslinger was nerfed so my first p100 main was a huntress.
Reason: I moved from CS:GO to Dead by Daylight and I was a sniper there - it was natural to choose ranged killer
2 -
Spirit, because I like j-horror and Onryos.
And for my first 8+ months, all I did was main killer exclusively as Spirit. I gradually mixed in more killers, then started playing surv in like year 2. I don't play her much anymore since I have hearing issues and her nerfs made it so you pretty much have to use audio tracking, which bums be out. I only have her P15, but she would have easily been my first P100 if I started in the current system.
I still get most of her cosmetics even though I rarely use her, probably out of some weird loyalty to the one who got me addicted to the game.
Funnily enough, I originally bought the game for my kid (who stopped playing after like a month) and only started playing when I realized Ash Williams was playable (I'm a huge Evil Dead fan), but immediately went to killer when I saw I could play as an Onryo.

When I started playing when the game first launched on console I mainly played Doctor as I had trouble finding and tracking survivors. I still enjoy him to this day but I’ve always preferred playing a variety of killers as they all play so differently.

Well, I was playing before there were so many Killers, so my first Killer was Trapper. Eventually I began maining Huntress, and then moved on to Clown. Then I switched to Trickster, and now I main Vecna and Springtrap.

Billy and Billy lol. I always thought of him as a balanced killer and still do. The amount of effort to win out from him and the amount of back and forth in chase with him. And the less reliance on m1ing. Makes him very fun for me. I didnt play him much during the overheat days but I still loved em. And I mean I won in the end because it was such a bad choice they completly put it on its head. So my patience was rewarded.

Wraith in a good, ol and terrifying DBD 2016.
And when the Nurse was released - I couldn't understand how to utilize her power and was just teleporting between the gens, while trying to catch survivors on foot xD2 -
For along time it was The Trapper because I love the concept of setting up. But with thr recent changes I had to play someone with good map pressure and still has that set up feel. The Unknown was who I main today
2 -
Trapper I just loved the old feeling when setting trap with old animation in that huge grass covered by thick fog and his uniqueness to be first killer who could counter infinites with one well placed trap (not after nurse relese). Billy was hard and brainless back then in 2016 with instasaw build and ebony mori and wraith was super weak without two purple addons that became his basekit and creating wraith we know nowdays. Now I play more nemesis because is satisfying to hit his tenticle hits, I left trapper for many reasons maps with nothing to cover his traps, him after many buffs (one of the most buffed killers maybe number 1 by number of his buffs, many addons becoming basekit) still being weak dog food for stronger teams I started to face with mmr change and swf his power is just loosing and trying to get miricle nothing you can influence for guarentee like other killers. Even I know his first trap setting animation would not be good nowdays I just lowed the original one with old looks of the game nothing more satisfying than placing trap in that atmosphere and then survivor stepping into it, this is not that good feeling today and traps even when they work still can have no effect just only for you to waste time in this fast phased game where his kit isnt capable to be useful.

Myers was my first because I bought the game on Switch and Freddy wasn't available for quite a while on that platform. As soon as Freddy released, I have played him and still some Myers. Those two are why I bought the game.
5 -
When I first started out it was Myers and a splish splash of Bubba, and then for weeks I tried Nurse but her in 2019 was super buggy and not fun with the controller.
So I settled on my beloved Piggly Wiggly and have been with her ever since. She is by far my most played killer it's not even close! 🐷🐽

My first was hag, didn't know she was 110 until someone asked why I kept chasing and not trapping up loops and told me. I played her for a few weeks then I picked up nurse because my brother who got me into the game told me she was the hardest to learn. I stuck with her until p100 (around 1k hours) and then picked up huntress and have loved her ever since there's nothing better than hitting cross maps, orbitals and Snipes spent around 1.5k hours on her. SpringTrap will probably be my next main if I were to chose one, the axe hits are so satisfying to me.

My first main was Myers. He's a horror legend and his presence in the game was what drew me to it. Myers and Leatherface were the first Killers I bought. Bubba was a struggle to play when I first started, but Myers is relatively straight forward to learn for a beginner. I had a ton of fun sneaking up on Survivors and pulling them off gens. But I quickly realised I'd have to throw every game if I wanted to stay in rock bottom MMR, since more experienced Survivors were way too aware of their surroundings. After a while, his play style became more about rushing to tier III as soon as possible and I didn't like playing him like that.
My next (and current) main was The Legion. I remember hiding in a locker on RPD and watching a Legion vault over a pallet chasing after a Survivor and from that moment I knew they would be my Killer. As a player that leans towards being a Survivor main, I love the idea of a Killer that has Survivor like abilities. I actually wish they could do other Survivor things, like interacting with chests and hiding in lockers, but that's a conversation for another thread. I love everything about them, from their cosmetics to their chase music and back story. They were my first and only P100 and are my most played Killer by far (44% pick rate). While you can play them more "seriously" and do quite well with the right builds, their game play loop is ideal for playing chill. You just can chain hits until you run out of targets and then you chase the Survivor in front of you and not think too much about anything else. They are the ultimate casual Killer, imo.

Trapper, and as time went on he's been my main on and off. In the end he is still my first P100 Killer.
Nowadays I would consider myself a Trickster main, and hoping to get P100 soonTM <3

It was Doctor just because I sucked at tracking.
3 -
Pig was my first main as I am a diehard SAW fan.
Eventually I settled on Pinhead as my main, despite having never seen any of the movies before his arrival in DBD. He’s been my one and only since his debut and it isn’t close. According to the DBD Stats page, I have over 1500 hours on Pinhead in matches; my second most played killer is at 35 hours.

Hey at least she moved at 4m/s for a bit 😅

pig back i think in 2017 or 2018?

I love Sadako and Houndmaster despite my frustrations. @CountOfTheFog not a word from you 🤣

My first main killer was Clown back in early 2019 when I started the game, he was the killer who took me to rank 1 (when rank meant something). I liked him because of his laugh and I thought the character was really well designed, even down to the jiggle physics of his belly in the lobby lol.
However playing Clown was painful back then too, he had even less going for him and no map pressure saw me suffer a lot of pain. So my next main was, you guessed it, NURSE lol. I mained Nurse for several years after that until I got bored of winning and stopped enjoying playing killer.

I started with myers back in 2020 (ish). Then it was ghostface then pig and now im back full circle to tombstone myers (halloween kills outfit when bhvr)

I was very drawn to the game for Trickster back in 2021. However i didn't stick with him because i feel like he's too weak and frustrating. I'm very excited to see what the rework is.
So early on when i looked to play killers other than Trickster, i started playing a lot of Shape who is currently my most played historically on the dbd stats website. I liked that he was basic enough but still had some very exciting add-ons. However, i don't play him as much anymore because i've come to realise how ultimately limited he is, and i do not really enjoy instadowning, i like to chase.
I mained chucky last year but the nerfs he received in december were too much for me, i barely play him anymore.
Right now i cycle between Springtrap, Ghoul, Dracula. I really like these characters and their playstyles.1 -
oddly enough Pyramid Head was one of my firsts; the idea of assaulting people through walls with no regard for collision seemed neat. The thought of finding a group with Nurses Calling looked really appealing.

I'm pretty sure it was Trapper. There was only Trapper, Wraith, and Hillbilly to choose from iirc.

Trapper was first killer I played back in 2020 when I had no idea how to play the game. After that I didn't really have main I played many different killers maybe Oni stood out most. But in my regular rotation were demodog, wraith, myers, bubba, huntress, legion, ghostface, nemesis, dredge, alien and dracula over the years. Until I came to like the ghoul I have watched the anime and just really like the killer.

I used to play Demogorgon but he got boring after I got him to p6
