If Houndmaster could have a 3rd dog command, what would it be?
My idea was like a protective mode. When the dog is in this mode while you are walking around the dog stays close by your side (Much like he does anyways when walking) should a survivor come within X amount of meters of The Houndmaster he will attempt a quick lunge for a grab. (Just pitching an idea)

That sounds really good too! I was just trying to come up with something different since we have a “Intel Command already” but honestly they could add that into search mode where you could just have him go on his own .

I want BHVR to fix the search command before considering a 3rd command.
Because the search command is AWFUL when it's trying to target something on a different floor. And it's also awful at targeting the ground, at far distances, when there are line of sight breakers between the killer at the target location.

Idd like a Command that works like the Knight's Guard, a long chase command.
But the protect area command seems cool too.

Send snug out to chase a survivor. When he locks on he runs after the survivor. If he reaches the survivor he grabs them and pulls them back to Houndmaster. Survivors can’t free them from this grab but can be stunned by pallets?
OR instead of that when he catches up he just bites them injuring them, if he downs them, he starts pulling their body back to Houndmaster like in the trailer.I’m just playing off your ideas. 💡

Break command Snug can now break pallets, gens and breakable walls

That would be cool! That could also just be an addon for him! Same thing when he vaults it blocks the vaults.

Maybe the 3rd command should be more for breaking Gens or pallets for you. Like it should have a good cool down so its not spammed because sometimes you don't have time to break Gens or other stuff so having the dog be able to break stuff would help this killer

Shes one of the few hybrid killers in the game who utilizes multiple minature powers (Movement, anti loop, tracking and information)
I guess if she we're to get a new command, it should be something that makes her Undetectable and a bit of slowdown. Like maybe when a survivor is found via Houndsense, Houndmaster can make Snug continuously harass the survivor (like a guard hunt. There is also an unused machanic on Houndmaster referred to as Dog Taunting, which could be the name of this command), all while the killer becomes Undetectable to surprise the other survivors. Effectively chasing 2 survivors at once and catching someone else off guard

I always wondered why Snug doesn’t grab and at least slow down survivors at a gen when he’s sent to search there. That would be cool.
To answer the question though, I think having him sit/stay and guard a spot and barking/sensing anyone who comes near could be neat.

A "Stay command".
He will stand in place, jumping at any survivors near him. Only for some time, and then he comes back.

I feel like the normal default for Snug should be that his "search" circle is always active. I dont really understand why snug wouldn't notice a survivor in a bush he walks past unless he is told to run past that bush to check on a gen across the map.

That could be interesting. Like protecting a given space. If he were to leap at someone that got in said Radius, would it be a grab, injury or both? (Curious)

I have never thought about that but yeah, you are right. The chase command would give them the houndsense debuff. Very interesting and efficient. The only issue with that I fear is that she would be another Mend simulator killer, I really don't want that for her.

That would assume the survivors she hits manage to escape her to go mend rather than go down. The reason LEGION is a "mend simulator" is because his power encourages hit and run. Thats not really the case for Houndmaster.

That's true but I fear that it would become that when you send the dog to chase, get the hit, they go to deep wound. Spot another survivor nearby, deal with them because the other survivor now has to go "Mend" if ya catch my concern?

A command which immediately spawns the dog at your side. Nothing more frustrating than the dog getting stuck somewhere or going on a vacation trip until it eventually reaches your location again.
