Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

This patch is a genuine mess

There is so much wrong with this patch that ranges from the absurd amount of bugs that just are being swept under the rug, to the performance issues ruining the game, to balance disasters that somehow make it past QA, so much of this patch just feels halfbaked, low effort, and just pushed out as soon as possible to get people to buy the new survivors

For starters, alot of the bugs that were in the ptb and the complaints in the ptb were straight up ignored (how did conviction make it to live completely untouched is just beyond me, that perk in its current state is just insanely unhealthy for the game) fog vials are still probably the worst thing to make a normal item as I have had scenarios where it feels like i’ve been hit by the old flashlight blinds when dealing with them in certain lightings and its just abysmal, Clown and Knight got good changes but when you guys reverted the clown nerf to purple bottles…you somehow forgot that you buffed hos yellow bottles and now he is genuinely just not fun whatsoever to face since he just can hold w and win at basically every loop

Onto the quality of the survivors this patch, Michonne literally has people in the studio talking in her hook scream like it genuinely kinda stands out when you just hear people chatting away while on hook and is incredibly jarring, the lack of quality control for this is just saddening and all you have to do to find that is to do the bare minimum and double check your work and have people review the audio to make sure you don’t hear people talking

To end this post and to TL;DR this all, this patch has content thats been requested for the longest time and instead of doing any form of polishing to the patch, it was barely even cooked and honestly makes me question the purpose of a PTB when the ptb had less problems than the live build, infact to me the PTB feels more like an advertisement for new content now rather than a build to test to see if things need tweaking or fixing before reaching the live build

I would get into more of the bugs and jank of this patch but honestly just scrolling through bug reports or just playing a few killer and survivor matches you’ll get the idea

This game is still in beta after 9 years and will likely forever remain as such.

This patch is very under cooked. I know we expect some bugs with every update, but this is pretty bad even by DBD standards.

Honestly BHVR, your game will survive if you take just one extra week to cook new content if it needs a bit more time in the oven. We've only had a week or so since the last event finished (and even that should have been a few weeks of a Chaos Shuffle event that had to be cancelled). It's pretty clear they can't keep up with the current release schedule they have and still maintain quality control.

There doesn't need to be new content out 100% of the time for people to keep playing the game, especially since we've just had an influx of new players who won't be bored or tired of the base game just yet.
