What Predator and Lightweight look like to killers
Both of these videos were made by "Pain Reliever" and their friends on Youtube. I highly recommend that anyone looking for DBD info checks them out.

My god, this feels like a pain reliever.
I was always curious as to how they looked in a side by side comparison, especially lightweight.

Dude thank you I've been hoping for a visual to the differences for awhile.
2 -
Oh I will.

Bump, because this is useful

Isn't that the old version of Predator?
0 -
@Dreamnomad Nope! The old version of Predator simply made scratch marks last longer.
The perk now simply clumps them all together making the trail more clear.

Predator seems useful. Lightweight, as i've always thought, seems pretty #########.
Thanks for making these. Very useful.

@MojoTheFabulous Don't thank me, thank Pain Killer. Seriously, I didn't make these.

Lightweight looks barely even noticeable.

0:17 I love how you can see a Jane just crouching by this, also predator is going into my build now
0 -
Lightweight looks like 1-2 seconds shorter, not 3.
2 -
Predator looks like it increases the amount of scratchmarks as well.

Thank you for posting this and thank you Pain Killer for making it.

Could you do a mad grit to see how it looks on both survivor and killer?
0 -
What is there to see?

Anyone else notice the big 3 meter gaps in scratch marks when the killer isn't using Predator? Seriously, the video made it painfully apparent to me, and it seems like vanilla scratch marks are inconsistent as hell now, which is infuriatingly bad for killers trying to track running survivors.

Too bad Lightweight is such a useless perk.
A lot of opportunity to make it S Tier, but I doubt it’ll ever be changed.
2 -
Agreed ,with a name like that you'd think they'd add in quiet footsteps or something.
Half the time I hear survivors as killer it's because I hear their loud ass boot stomps , makes me think of my Gears of War days where I could hear locust stomping across the map lol
2 -
Lol. A little off-topic but that just reminds me of the days that you could hear Wraith halfway across the map before you could ever even "see" him. 😂
But yeah lightweight either needs a rework or a massive buff, quieter footsteps could be a great rework.

It'd be a quality of life adjustment if footsteps were quieter.
But yes a lot of perks need a rework , still waiting for dying late rework DEV'S

Predator - I believe many called this perk useless. Looking at this, I think we can prove them wrong.
Lightweight - There's a difference? If you're currently being chased, that is not going to save you.
2 -
I think they specifically made that segment to cover lagging Survivors and how that affects scratchmarks and how its unintentionally fixed by Predator.

Scratch marks are generated on client side, not server side. So if the killer or survivor is lagging and end up with the survivor standing still for a while before teleporting, the scratch marks will cluster there, as seen in the video.

People are dissing lightweight or think it needs a buff and frankly, I disagree. It’s incredibly useful and perk adaptable without making a survivor op. I love lightweight. You don’t see a difference? I’m sorry to hear that.
I know that when I’m a survivor, I survive more with lightweight.
I know that when I’m killer, lightweight makes it hard af to find survivors with it. Also good luck finding footsteps in the corn or in maze like maps.

I feel the same exact way! Sure, visualizing it from a high point makes it seem like it doesn't do much, but add corn, walls, and other Line of Sight blocking objects and the 3 seconds subtracted can be the difference between a trail to follow or nothing but dust

Notice the broken scratchmarks at 0:23 in the first video.

EXACTLY! And the video didn’t show it, but I’m 99% positive that lightweight footsteps ARE lightweight in the sense that from a killer POV on the trail, lightweight footsteps show up a little fainter too.
Lightweight is a good perk. It rewards survivors for evading, it makes running less risky (and it’s excellent for stealth,) but it’s not so powerful against a killer with good tracking. It’s a balanced perk.
