👁️ Are Sable and Tryks Actually the Same Person?!
Hear me out…
Sable Ward and Tryks (aka Jezebel) have way too much in common for this to be coincidence:
- Amber glowing eyes
- Identical facial structure
- Silver- white hair
- Connection to Entity
They could be two sides of the same coin -just saying. Could Behaviour be secretly setting us up for a dual identity Plot Twist?

I totally believe this.
Tryks and Sable have a lot in common, and Sable seemed pretty interested in the realm until she started dying.
Sable also has some degree of power, probably from her relationship with the Entity being favorable.
Tryks seems like a pretty logical continuation of this. After a few years in the realm, she managed to learn enough to get away from the trials entirely, much like Vigo. But unlike him, she stayed in the realm, throwing the Entity yearly birthday parties.
Now, there is a question of age, and how both Sable and Tryks can coexist. But, since parallel universes exist in the world of DbD, this question solves itself.
So, imo, Tryks is Sable after a few years in the realm.

It might be a thing, but I personally feel like they just created the same character twice. At best I'd be willing to believe she's an alternate universe creation or an abandoned concept.

@UnicornMedal Totally fair! Even if it wasn't planned, the similarities are strong enough that Behaviour could still spin it into an alt-universe Sable or lost version. Sometimes great lore comes from happy accidents👁️🗨️
@SoGo Agree 1000%! Tryks feels like Sable final form - Entity - aligned and thriving beyond the trails. The multiverse concept explains everything.
It's unanimous, we all want Tryks as a playable character with full lore and perks. Behaviour, the community has spoken, give us TRYKS🙏

You guys might have a point. I was also drawing parallels a few days ago when I looked at the Tryks icon, and compared it to Sable's Winged Paté hair-do. This can't be a coincidence, considering the hairstyle and color match up so well.

I'm convinced by this theory! The fact that they've tried to obscure her face with the mask and hair style is more evidence to suggest they are an alternate reality version of the same person.
The other explanation is that they simply reused Sable's model for the basis of the character without changing her appearance all that much and then they called it a day, but this is more fun.

Isn't it confirmed that there's suppose to be an upcoming chapter that has a twists on one of the original characters? Maybe it has something to do with those two.

sorry for being that guy, but based on the models they dont look very similar to me. Skull structure is different, sable has a stronger jaw than tryks, lips shape is different between the two. Nose is a bit smoother on Tryks and also his nose bridge seems to be a bit offseted, like crooked? if that makes sense, which would be nice to know lorewise the reason for this? is that something made on purpouse, or its just a happy accident?
Tryks looks younger as well, unless they are the same person in different timelines? Or, as the meme says, maybe sable is a gen-z aging like milk, and shes younger than tryks. I dunno.
Also Im not sure if its fair to say they both share the same body type, as this was probably recycled to cut times in production. Does makes sense to sculpt a new body type just for an npc?
Dont get me wrong, I want to believe, and i think it would give the lore a cool twist, but unless this is confirmed by devs, i cant believe it yet.1 -

I'm always in on the conspiracy theories. It is fun to look more into the characters in an alternate way.
What if's, I mean.
And there is no denying that Tryks and Sable are very similar looking, in physical appearance.But all that aside, I really want Tryks as a survivor. I guess she would be my next P100 if that happened :D

That's interesting, her, as a survivor - though she'd probs get nerfed a bit. No flying, levitating or opening rifts (teleportation) like she does now. But I could still see her perks echoing her "Bag of Tryks" - like speed boots, aura reveals and something with totems/chest

She can levitate like nurse 🙏 it could be there in place of her run and walk animations. It would be such a sick thing to do as survivor that doesn’t change anything but visuals.

I'm pretty sure that'll be the original chapter coming next year which is likely to be the Trickster rework and possible All-Kill chapter 2. So more likely we'll see something like a survivor trickster and killer yun-jin cosmetic.

Their facial structure despite looking similar, is still different in certain areas (like with the chin, eyebrow & nose), their voices are different from each other and Sable's hair is more grey and white, while Tryks is more blue-ish white.
So i would say no.

Now I'm totally nerding out - imagine Tryks hovering with full directional control, she can levitate high and blink (teleport). Imagine survivor stands on the roof, of the Garden of Joy - Roots of Dread map (white house) and Tryks below. Her decoy (illusion) is seen entering the house, but the real Tryks blinks straight to the survivor, catching them off guard. This would somewhat mirror the doctor's maddness ability but her illusions (nod to sable) actually move to TRYK survivors.

I noticed some deeper parallels between Sable and Tryks, both use "Seriously" in their speech. Which brings me back to them being two states of the same mind.
Sable delivers lines that land like dry warnings, laced with irony. "Seriously, I get the feeling something bad is about to happen. Yum."
Tryks feels theatrical, erractic, and unhinged. "Are you laughing or screaming? Seriously, I can't tell".
Same cadence, different charge.

"Je" which means I/me in French. Remove the "I" (self), and you get Zable → Sable
This isn't just a word play - it's intentional. The Devs don't drop names like that without meaning. This is a breadcrumb linking identities.
