New decisive Strike Useless
The perk does come in use a lot cause most of the Killer seem to love to tunnel the (first) hooked till death lately. But it's useless with the little stun unless the Killer gets you in a good area with a safe palette. If the Killer runs enduring it's a total waste.

It’s only useless against enduring.

Yep, they should make Decisive activate after one has been hooked, but there is no time limit. But to balance, the level of perk determines how hard the skill check is, and I think first two levels should have time limits, but not as short as 40 seconds. Levels should also increase how long killer is stunned by a few split seconds.
Just an idea, like the nerf, but they nerfed DS too much.

40seconds is roughly half a gen of time to lose. DS being timed the best outcome for both sides as killers don't have to worry about losing the first hook and survivors do have up to a minute, one gen worth of time, before they just HAVE to take the hook. At some point you have to learn to avoid getting down entirely and not relying so heavy on DS. This was not a sudden change and everyone has said for years that relying so hard on this perk that it dominated the survivor meta so hard was going to get people burned when the devs finally balanced it.
DS was always meant to be a last ditch effort, but sadly they left it as a perk that works the entire game instead of end game where it should have been.

Oh, so it’s only useless against a very popular perk...lol.
The rework makes no sense. They tried to make it out to be a “good for the game” perk to help with tunneling, but any killer who uses Enduring completely bypasses it. I think the devs may need to take a class in logic 101

DS IS NOT MEANT TO GIVE YOU AN EXTRA HOOK.
We clear about this? Its meant to punish tunneling and give you a chance. Enduring actually countering it is intended as opposed to just mitigating the damage.
Once you scratch the higher tiers of play you'll see survivour as a role has more then enough chances to win the game without this perk. The excpetion will always be killlers who play well with top tier killers. But bare in mind the skill required to perform well as killer surpasses survivour.
No longer does it alert the killer that its in play and the mechanic of dribbling is gone so of course its gonna get more counters and have its power pull back. The perk was broken and now that its nerfed to have counters and can be avoided its overall healthier for the community.
Remeber original ds in higher tier play enforces tunneling by incentivising the killer to avoid the obssesion and hunt other survivours meaning a lot of survivours were screwed just because the person who unhooked them was the obssesion.

The begging off ds rework on here is amazing. I do think the stun should be the same as pre rework thou. I kind of catch them up really quick. I have been caught with ds about 6 times in a 100 games at rank 1 killer. Not because I camp and tunnel but because I've hooked the ds user went half accross the map hooked another survivor then bumped into the first person I hooked. I actually find it refreshing nwhen I'm dstriked now and not that I've been robbed. I really doubt the devs are going to change much on it. It's in a good place now.

only useless against 1 killer perk? so why no one is playing ds anymore?
1 -
Wasnt the old DS already countered by enduring? No difference thus
1 -
Because a lot of the good killers have enduring and now it is situational.

@TreemanXD I believe him. It is useless. I was playing killer last night and got hit with D-strike... I expected the survivor to get some distance but I turned around like it was nothing. LOL.

From what I've gathered, OP, you seem to be annoyed that a perk designed to counter stuns... counters the DS stun. If that bothers you, then run another perk to do gens quicker or help in a chase.

DS got a slightly buff now anyway. It's 5 seconds instead of a 3 second stun now

We told them we wanted decisive to not be affected by enduring and they buffed the stun time while still being affected by enduring, #########...

The patch notes made it seem like it wasn't effected by enduring before and now is (but with an increased stun anyways so you still have some time to run).

@Ember_Hunter So basically like the old one but far more reliable and therefore more powerful? You're not serious, right?

you call ds useless rn?
you must be kidding me...
the perk is in a extremely good shape right now.
