Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

MMR

So most of us know that Survivors MMR is +/- 1 if they escape from the gate of die and Killers is +/- how many survivors they sacrifice or escape. 0 for batch.

So I think is should also include how many gens get done or are left. The escape/sacrifice point might need to change though.

Yeah it really needs to include so much more than escapes and kills.

It's a little more than that though. You lose less MMR or lose none or gain less/gain none depending on how you match up against your opponents.

Like if I get matched against 30k hour comp survivors and I get dunked on and they 4 escape easy, I won't lose any MMR because the system "expects" me to lose. This is part of the reason why it takes forever for your MMR to drop

I should lose MMR when I lose regardless the opponents. Also I'm not that great at the game so I should never face people that skilled.

I think it also factors in your team. You will always lose mmr if you die in a fair match, but if everyone else escapes you will lose less.

You could factor in some things like gens, which would also lessen the loss, but you never should gain mmr if you die. Except you make it completely team based and 3 outs count as a win even if you are dying.

Otherwise both sides could win and it would inflate the mmr. It sometimes feels like we already have an inflated mmr (everyone is at the top) buts that could be bc of a low max mmr cap.

Talking about MMR in DBD is a bit like talking about the Loch Ness monster or Big Foot.

Fun to speculate about but almost certainly not a real thing.
