Why are people attracted to Myers?
I see lots of players named “Daddy Myers” or “Mori me Myers.” Isn’t he just some old dude underneath that mask?

Well, considering he has the newer looking mask of the original film series, as opposed to the aged mask of the 2018 soft-reboot film, he should be somewhere between 21 to 41 years old.
Michael was six when he committed the murders, and escaped from Smith's Grove and returned to Haddonfield fifteen years later. Then, there were the H20 and Resurrection films, which continued him and Laurie 20 years later.
I'd say the Entity took him and Laurie from the Halloween H20 and Halloween Resurrection era, when she was 37 and he was 41.
Neither of them are from the 2018 film soft-reboot era, where Laurie was 57 and Michael 61. Even Laurie's in-game model doesn't match that. But she does fit the H20 era.
All that aside, he was licensed and added to the game in October 2016. The soft-reboot was a 2018 film. The Laurie and Michael in DbD have zero relation to the 2018 film reality. The story they're connected to ended with Halloween: Resurrection. So, he isn't that old.
(Note: There were more planned sequels for the Halloween H20 era, but Resurrection did so poorly that the sequels were cancelled and the H20 era abandoned, and the license was eventually granted to Rob Zombie, instead).

Isn't Laurie's outfit straight out of the original 1978 movie? That would put Laurie at 17 and Micheal at 21. These pictures are from the original 1978 movie, they show both of the outfits in DBD in that original movie.

Cuz this is the internet and some people on it are really strange

@LaughingFox: Thanks. I don't play Survivor and don't play Laurie, so wasn't sure about her outfits in the game. That's why I guessed the original or H20 era (21-41 years old for Michael).
Unfortunately, I erred on the side of H20 because her model certainly doesn't look 17-years-old in the game. I can buy 37-years old, but looking at the model, I have a hard time seeing 17-years-old.

@Kilmeran No problem, I'm actually more of a killer main myself, but I love the Halloween franchise, especially that first movie.

I'd wanna know this as well. All I see is big muscles, small d and fem bottom voice when he gets stunned.

I agree though, Laurie definitely looks older in DBD, but I think that's more because they didn't have Jamie Lee Curtis's permission to use her likeness, so they had to change the model up a bit.

Oh, I would put money on that being the case.

Actually, Laurie’s based off the comic book version. The first issue depicts the events of the first movie I believe. So Laurie in-game should be about 17.
... Despite what the devs say or how old her model looks.

@ShirtlessDwight What? Why are speculating about the size of Michael's dick?
As for the OP, I don't think people are actually attracted to him (at least not many of them, people are weird after all). I imagine it's more just him being a beloved horror icon.

It's because he's tall, strong, and very, VERY thicc.
I would let him put his knife in several parts of me, only one of which is my ribcage.

Strong silent type with heavy breathing. What is not to be attracted to?

His muscles and butt. ;)
Really though I don’t understand. XD

The terror radius of his makes him a jump scare champeeeeeeen in this game. Specially when u doing your first gen and swivelling your camera to keep an eye out and you see him just standing so damn quietly there, stalking you.. No heartbeat warning period from the good ones.. A head floating in the fog and then up comes the kitchen knife and you like,"awwwww sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Run Forrest, RUN!"

The Laurie is the one from the first movie though so clearly both are from the first movie.

It might be due to his Stalk ability. Looking around and suddenly finding Myers standing there staring at you is one of the most iconic moments in the game. Every other killer approaches, or decloaks, or roars to surprise you, but Michael is silent. Watching. You don't know what he's going to do, but you know it's not going to end well.
And then the jingle plays...

we'll have to excuse DBD for that one, their graphics weren't too great from the get-go, im sure they would've been able to make Laurie look far better if it was 2019 and not 2016

I imagine the attraction to Myers is based on a number of factors.
First off, Myers is one of the few killers that by default doesn't have any major deformities. He's just a very tall silent muscular guy.
Secondly we have to remember that this is a video game. Video games are stereotyped as appealing to outcasts so it's reasonable to assume that a number of people who play DBD are either single or lonely.
Finally as @Coriander stated above. Myer's power is paying attention to you. Not directly stabbing or charging, but looking at you, with hungry, wanting eyes.
So combine a bunch of potentially lonely people with a tall silent muscular man who is interested in you and it becomes very easy to understand why some people lust after him so much.

It's a millennial thing honestly.

Anything else you'd like to blame on millennials? Climate change? The Great Depression?

I'm guessing some people like the whole dom aspect of him, what I know for sure is that it's not from dbd, people already had a hard on for Mikey before that.

It’s always funny when people try to blame all millennials for something they don’t like.
