Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

How strange?

on Scott Junds comments and other peoples channels when streetwise was not being killswitched, everyone said BHVR doesn’t care about killers and survivors make up most of the playerbase so that’s why they never nerf survivors.

Hmm how strange fog vials got nerfed almost a week later. Meanwhile clown can go braindead mode and kill everyone with super speed?

But wait a second I thought killers only get nerfed there not allowed to have strong things??

Is anyone going to acknowledge this or are we going to memory hole this to fuel this agenda??

scott mentioning an us vs them in the video was a massive mistake because the core of the streetwise issue wasnt an us versus them thing, it was the devs refusing to deactivate something broken that effected both sides (while obviously it was an exploit against killers it detracted and effected survivor games too if people did not want to engage in the exploit). he was pointing out how there was a pretty direct comparison to streetwise getting ks'd fast, and that when you dont explain why one goes and the other doesnt thats how you get us vs them debates. the annoying thing about it was that with no further context it was hard to parse any conclusion besides "the killswitch is arbitrary" or "they weigh bug issues by sides differently" (i personally think neither is 100% true, i understand game devs have work pipelines, and that us vs themming will never get this game into a better spot)

As for the fog vial nerf, ryan stated in the hotfix thread that they will happily take critique about the fog vials further if theyve been over adjusted. i feel as though your efforts and disappointment would be better spent telling people why the fog vial changes are a nerf to survivors instead of just going "HOW COME THEY GET EVERYTHING NICE?" when they, every other patch, just like survivors, often dont.

Fog vials nerfs are a lil too harsh. While having a limit is fair, nerfing it's effect isn't.

Clown will likely getting reverted almost fully. He takes 0 skill to play now, and hes far too strong for someone who just gets haste as their power.

Statistically speaking survivors do make up 4/5 of the playerbase. So it often seems like their voices are heard more since theres more of them.

Killer in general is still not as good as survivor as it has been since the games release. Almost no killer, perk build or map can take down a half decent team. And if they are on comms, its just ggs.

Yeah, by and large killer players did not want these changes, and loudly opposed them before they went live. Especially Clown mains.

I am not a Clown main by any stretch, but he was in my rotation. Not anymore. He's braindead now.

The Clowns we're seeing more of now are players who almost certainly used other killers but who now sniff a new source of cheap, boring wins.

I’m sick of the mentality that killers can’t have any strong items while survivors never get nerfed

    It’s a load of baloney.
I made this post as a sarcastic way of saying that agenda is baloney cause if it were true why is clown still fast as hell with 17%+ haste? Meanwhile fog vials are getting nerfed within a week??

That’s not right the comments said BHVR only cares about survivors cause of cosmetic sales yet this happened?

yea i used to play clown from time to time, tried him against bots, purple bottles are literally useless now

i still throw them away from me because of the old trigger time lol

im still weirded out by the fact people still fuel the whole us vs them even tho a lot of things get buffed or nerfed more frequantly

clown sucks rn cause he’s literally no skill, while not awful like forever Freddy, having 17%+ haste that activates like nothing is so stupid

He’s strong asf but in a way that’s so easy and uninteractive

well yea that's why everyone said don't touch him in the ptb….

and yes everyone agrees he is too strong right now…?

then why wasn’t it easily reverted??
this is also involved with why I made my post

If everyone on YouTube says BHVR only cares about survivors why isn’t clown reverted yet??

I would like him to be reverted or at least shift his power back from yellow to purple, I posted about clown on pinned thread I can't do much more

I guess people were more vocal about fog vials on twitter/reddit, clown situation was eclipsed

Many people don't want actual fairness. They shout very loudly when they get the short end of the stick, but when someone else gets it, they become incredibly quiet. Unfortunately, calling it out doesn't really do anything, as hypocrites are intellectually dishonest people. They know they're full of crap, and have likely already made peace with it.

I’m pretty sure the issue was that cause streetwise effect was undesirable, while clown, clearly, working without bugs. His issue in balancing, and I hope it will be changed later, but he isn't greambreaking. He kills pace of the trial and lower skill ceiling, that’s his only issue.

And killers tried to warn that changing him is bad idea

On both killer and survivor sides, things are always "tweaked" after they come into the game. Killers often get nerfs, perks get adjusted, killer addons changed — and yes, sometimes items get hit too. This isn’t about favoring one side; it’s just the nature of the process because during PTB testing you can’t catch everything in detail before release. So changes after launch are inevitable and necessary to maintain balance.
It’s just the nature of things that stuff will likely be changed again after recently receiving major updates or when bigger new content comes out.

dude it literally took an uproar and fire just for a game breaking perk to be disabled

u really expect them to roll out a balance patch that fast lol?

im not defending here btw im just confused u think they will listen after everything that happened

Have I accidentally ended up on a crackpot political forum? I should not be seeing comments like these about a video game.

lol I’m not getting into politics.
its just annoying when people don’t remember that survivors have been nerfed before in a quick succession. It’s not just killers who get nerfed like this

There were also times were strong killers/perks took forever to get changed
