Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Bullies

This sums up how BHVR promotes and advocates for online bullying:

Hotdogs LLC (BHVR) is setting up hotdog carts all over the place. These carts are run by two sets of people. Timmy’s (killers) and Jimmy’s (survivors).

In the layout, there are four times more Jimmy’s than Timmy‘s. But they also have this figured out.

Timmy’s are given chili as a topping for their hotdogs. Jimmy’s are not.

Instead, Jimmy’s have several different kinds of relish that they can equip to their cart in order to sell against Timmy offering chili.

Hotdogs LLC has a vision that they will get 60% of their profits from Timmy and 40% of their profits from Jimmy.

Timmy gets some good onions to add to their arsenal of toppings and dam. It’s good. They start adding to the profits and it just explodes..

Hotdogs LLC sees this and gives some good onions to Jimmy, not quite as good as what they gave to Timmy, but good nonetheless, in the hopes that they would also increase the profits.

But Timmy doesn’t like this, Timmy doesn’t like having 60% of the sales Timmy wants 100% of the sales, 100% of the time.

Timmy complains about Jimmy getting some good onions and the result is that the good onions are removed from Jimmy.

Now Timmy dances around and taunts Jimmy about how much better he is than Jimmy, ignoring the fact that he just sabotaged Jimmy to make sure that Jimmy could not ever be on level with him in the slightest.

And somehow the parent company is OK with this. They are perfectly fine with Timmy bullying Jimmy based on decisions that the parent company has made. Timmy and Jimmy were never on an even playing field, but the moment that Jimmy even had a chance, Timmy complained to get it shut down. Because Timmy isn’t happy unless he feels like he has power over other people, like he has power over Jimmy.

And that my friends is the definition of a bully. And this exactly sums up why BHVR is the biggest advocate for bullies that we have ever seen.

I'm quite certain the comments from others will be civil and not hateful towards you at all.

As someone who plays solo survivor, I see a lot of Jimmy's dance around and taunt the Timmy's. Especially when no gens are able to get done.

Bullying happens on both sides and I don't blame Behavior for it.

Plus, you can find Jimmy's and Timmy's on other PVP games. Ever play Call of Duty?

I just want to make it clear that I agree with you. Bullying is not just on one side. However, those are things that happen within game. I’m referring more to the campaign to make sure that anything that even slightly helps survivors is completely destroyed by a very small and very vocal minority. And this is done because they want to be able to bully in game. It’s never about something being broken. It’s about taking every possible tool away from survivors so that these piss poor players can get 100% stomps 100% of the time.

I totally agree and continue to be baffled by BHVR's catering to the smallest percentage of players. The adamant killer mains seem to be sorta rare and very, very loud. Everyone I play with plays both roles. We also are all people that believe in fair play, since we have a personal understanding of both sides. It's actually gotten to where I feel bad playing killer most of the time, especially if I can tell the team is soloq and doomed right from the start.

I can also see the argument that fog vials, in particular, could be OP in the hands of a very skilled and confident 4-man and that could excuse a nerf, but that's like 10% of players, if even, and leaves the other 90% with nothing.

By the way, I completely misread your post and retract my earlier sentiment about you being right.

I thought you were using the Magic the Gathering definition of Timmy and Jimmy (or in MTG's terminology, Johnny), which would fit better with Timmy on Survivor and Jimmy on Killer.

I feel like you have it backwards, it's the survivors who make up 80% of the playerbase and are the group who BHVR panders to, because BHVR doesn't want 80% of the game's players angry at them and leaving.

Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of the remaining 20% of players on Killer, and the cracks are starting to show in the facade that BHVR cares about both sides equally with the strange refusal to killswitch Streetwise and other bugged perks, constant nerfs to perks killers relied on to fill balance gaps (Franklin's being the most recent example), buffs to survivors, survivor item changes, poorly conceived ideas for basekit changes, etc.

Since Kaneki's release, I rarely saw any bonuses for queueing as a killer, but for the first time last night I saw a 50% bonus for killer at rather prime gaming hours.

Between Kaneki and Springtrap hype wearing off and killers being in an incredibly unhealthy spot right now, the killer players are starting to leave or switch to survivor, and I for one can't wait to watch the fireworks show that will ensue.

The need for the power role to have the advantage in every way possible. Not really asym.

It's funny how you hear this exact same wording from both sides."BHVR only cares about 4k obsessed killer mains on power trips" or "BHVR only cares about OP flashlight-clicking 4-man SWF." Only BHVR knows who is actually playing what roles and how all the combined data looks. The rest of us are just screaming at the sky.
