Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Can we remove the fog vial from the bloodweb now?

Kudo's to BHvr to nerf two item who was bad for years and nerfing THREE TIMES in less than two week a new item (A new item that survivor was crying for age to get) who become just useless, totally useless because some streamers and killer CHEAT on your game with a lot of shaders (But apparently, cheating on your game is ok)

Remove it, at this point, remove it, apparently, you don't want this item in the game to doing that in that way, so remove it,We don't want to spend bloodpoint on a damp squid

Erf… I try to think in both way, and since the release of springtrap, I almost stop playing survivor because I love plying him… The fog was fun in the PTB, but now? … You are right, giving tool for survivor, for helping them not for the first objective (the gen and stopping the killer for hooking the teamate) was a good idea, people try to use the vial for stopping the tunneling… But we see what happen

I was trying the map with the iri add-on, because it was like the old key… but 8 meters is just ridiculous and the beam is only active for less than 5 second… If you want some idea, even if you put the beam in the center of the shack, you can only see the aura of the killer when he is inside

We can argue for some killer than a lot of add-on are just the same… but recently, BHVr try to change them (in a good way) to become more popular, look pyramid head, before the buff, almost all the add-on was just straight trash… Not anymore
But yeah, New Key, new Map, and now, the Vial, all the add-on are just… Useless
The map is just some kind of less powerfull "windows of opportunity" (maybe in a next change, the perk gonna be rework?) and the map don't show anymore traps or item linked to killer, and the key… The only good add-on is now dead, and for opening a chest in less than 1 second… I think people gonna use medkit, toolbox and flashlight as always instead of that

an aside from the fact that you are immediately giving up giving feedback and shafting the item asap, nvidia filters are not cheating. everyone who has tried to die on the hill that it has, has in fact, died on that hill unfulfilled.

So true, and they killed my beloved blood amber😭 I used it a lot before TWD chapter and it was compeletly fine for me, worked well with my streetwise (also nerfed)+built to last for more auras😎

yet again those iri addons for maps and keys are still niche since on some killer is not working because they have stealth on demand (and if you use blood amber against them they can use it against you😢) or thanks stealth to perks/addons, while medkits and toolboxes are universally have more values

Yeah sad I never even got to use them since I don't like bringing items that I don't have atleast 50 of and now I'll never get to use it and a good capacity. Just remove them and give me a blood point refund please

Maybe they could make it a perk, kind of like Flashbang?

damn so no longer 99 healing for resilience value? I hope they wont add charges to medkits

When they introduce the token charge for key and map, I was thinking that they try something else, more likely a test to see how people react about that with the least used item in the game

If they try to change toolbox, medkit and flashlight with the same system, I'm pretty sure that… People gonna be angry and the nerf of these item have to be more difficult for them… So they try with something else to see how it is accepted

You can try, you have to "channel" the item, and then, a token is taken and the object do what they have to do (so it's not instant, except opening a chest)

It's just some "supposition" but I see that in that way… Why introduce a token system for map and key, and not for the rest? (and we already know that they gonna add the token system to the fog vial)

Yeah I think the same. Very least they could make maps to be gray rarity. The grind could be bit easier if you could get some bloody party streamers...

I agree just remove them and maybe make extra add ons for the keys and maps to make up the space for them in the bloodweb.

I don't get why devs even waste time adding fog vials just to make them useless a week later

I was having so much fun with them. My actual value was iffy, but I was starting to get crafty with them. Doing some unpredictable twists and turns that sent the killer in a totally wrong direction was crazy satisfying. As killer, the rare moment of an organized team using them against me to protect their weaker teammates was quite well done. It had so much potential for a new element to the game. But God forbid we break up the monotony of running in circles around the shack.

    Everything that should be removed

    Fog Vials and add-ons

    Keys and add-ons

    Maps and add-ons

    Map offerings

I was starting to see some really fun plays—and lots of different plays. It wasn't just one scenario where they were being used, people were already getting really creative with them and I was honestly loving that even without really using them myself very much. It felt like the item really had potential for some new interesting strategies and techniques to come about that would've made matches exciting again.

So of course we had to nerf them into uselessness. God forbid survivors have any fun.

I don't think it needs removed.

Buff it back to place, and then put charges on it.

Yeah that's what I liked, the versatility. They were also a double-edge sword if you used them wrong. And they blocked survivor aura reading and we're messing with my use of Empathy for map awareness and quick rescues.

Someone popped this one off randomly, probably to hide auras while healing, but inadvertently broadcasted thier location in the process.

I don't think killer mains spent enough time considering how the vials, used badly (or used instead of other items) could benefit them too.

This is probably why they started demanding logs so heavily, honestly. Yes, filters are not cheating (even if ReShade gets got by EAC, which is out of our control), but they cannot be replicated in logs.

The REAL thing you all should be saying instead of "how dare those filter players" is "how dare those COMP players," because comp players are the ones using the filters, yet they'll rarely run into a position where a Fog Vial is actually going to effect them (in top MMR, incredibly powerful medkits and toolboxes will always outweigh winning a chase for the survivors, and they'll not be used in actual comp gameplay as a result).

Keys should remain strictly to open the hatch and chests, but should not involve having aura reading on killers/survivors. Add-ons should give you free Pharmacy, Scavenger, Residual Manifest, or Ace in the Hole without the additional effects of the perk, and the iri should just give Left Behind.

No keys should remains strictly for rat survivors that want a free escape, gotcha

When survivors complain about Clown, is it because they haven't spent enough time considering how the yellow bottles, used badly (or used instead of purple bottles) could benefit them too?

You've got to be the sorest winner here right now. The vials are trashed. All of this talk is just mourners lamenting at a funeral.

But please tell me how a Clown with invigoration add-ons, almost no reload time, and perks that let them haste stack to 40% can be used to any opponents advantage, especially people like me that don't use speed perks. And how do you use yellow bottles badly? You're literally just fast. Even if the survivor gets hit with the effect too, you're still faster.

And it's not just survivors vs killers. People play both, and very few people are defending the Clown changes, including Clown mains. I've been playing as him too (got myself a disgustingly easy adept yesterday) and I also think he needs a revert or further adjusting.
