With Operation Health phase 2 are you guys finally ridding the game from "techs"?
"Techs", which are just bugs people exploit and say it's Skill Expression.
Skill expression is, for example, orbital throws with Huntress that perfectly hit survs pretty far, know trick spots on objects where you can spear survs as Deathslinger or that Dracula's Hellfire are able to go through, know the exact timing for Flashbang saves and etc.
I personally would like to see these being addressed:
1-Crouch Tech
2-Window Tech
3-CJ Tech in the matter killers are finally given a secondary button to map actions
4-Window Tech against Wesker (vault the pallet or window that he just vaulted without getting hit)
5-Wesker Hugh Tech
6-Momentum Tech (when you change directions with killer while touching an object to not lose momentum)
Could someone from BHVR please shine a light here?😁

Crouch Tech has already been fixed up.
Window techs and CJ techs don't need to be removed. They're very easy to counter if you have at least a little knowledge.
#4 just sounds like a detection issue with Wesker's vault hurtbox, so yeah that should probably be fixed.
Wesker's Hug Tech is so niche that it doesn't really affect gameplay significantly. It's not like Blight's Hug Tech where you could do it on every tile effectively. A majority of Blights I was up against pre-hug tech patch used it, but I've only come across a handful of Wesker players that use his hug tech.
"Momentum Tech" literally just sounds like a core feature of killer movement? I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for here.
Just because something is a "tech" doesn't mean it should be removed. A tech is literally just a specific interaction or technique for a certain situation.

Agree with "Just because something is a "tech" doesn't mean it should be removed…"
Thing is DbD community love calling bug exploitation "Techs".
Momentum Tech is the name I gave to this. If you, for example, are going left as killer and then suddenly wants to go right there'll be some sort of intentional "lag" that makes you lose momentum. For some reason if you touch an object while doing so you'll not lose momentum.
CJ Tech is my way of mentioning the "beta feature" that is killer being unable to have two buttons to assign actions like survs have.
A while back they change the priority in situations where there was a surv inside a locker and another downed in front of the same locker so instead of picking the surv up the priority now is open the locker first. That wouldn't be needed if killers had the option to map X button to interact with pallets, lockers and windows and Y for survs and gens, thus eliminating CJ Tech.
Also even if it's niche Wesker Hugh Tech it's a exploitation that should be removed.
BUT I have to say they should add a little of "slide" to him so he can, for example, diagonally inward dash towards a wall and slide a little bit on it. The slide should only be made possible if he collides with a wall from his side, not his front or back of course.-1 -
Crouch tech has not been fixed lol

Let's hope the next time they say it's fixed it's INDEED fixed.

lets just get rid of all forms of skill expression the topic

Crouch Tech against many Killers is still very much a thing… -_0

You are one of those then.
Read the explanation on what is indeed "skill" and what is "bug exploitation".0 -
what's a window tech?
i know the rest i never heard of a window tech

Killer lose collision for a brief moment when vaulting a window.
Survs can exploit this to vault back without any punishment.-3 -
i don’t really consider cj techs a bug. It’s also a lesson learned after the first time. Once you know you know.
Wesker hug techs are fun as hell to go against and I love playing against really good weskers, it shows they took the time to learn how to get the most out of the killer.Window techs aren’t really an issue either once you know you know.
Momentum and crouch tech i understand they need to be fixed though.

oh that….i actually never had anyone pull that on me so i was wondering what it meant, thanks for the explanation

You agree that just because something is a tech doesn't need to be removed… while saying that in a post you made advocating for techs to be removed.

CJ Tech is not a bug indeed. I like to use it to highlight the fact killers can't map actions in more than one button.
My friend is a Wesker Main.
He knows how to Hugh Tech, but he never uses this crap because is indeed a bug being exploited. For us is no different than using a 3rd party cheat. You're getting an advantage you're not supposed to. Wesker is supposed to collide with things, not slide on them.
I think I was never Window Teched myself and this is not exactly a bug, but something minor that needs to be addressed. No problem.😁

There's a small portion of techs that are not bugs being exploited.

vehemently dissagree about hug techs being similar to a 3rd party cheat. Again i love going against good weskers though.

This has stopped working LONG ago.
Only two ways to do it was with keys and Clairvoyance, and I'm not sure if keys work like this anymore.

Didn't knew that.
Thanks. :)0 -
Can't wait for the looping tech to be removed.
