Kill Switch update: Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

*sigh* (survivor) don't start the closest gen at the beginning of the match

The first thing a killer does is head to the farthest gen… sigh
As a killer it's the first thing I do.

I always get close to the middle part of the map. Starting in a corner is never a good idea, since it can lead to the survivors 3-genning themselves.
The best way is to do the gens in a plus sign, or as close to that as possible. Leave the corners for last.

I often felt prior to this change, the players who want chase would run in to the map and the players who didn't would start working gens.

Now I feel the logic is reversed somewhat, where if you want chase, immediately start working the gen to make gens noises (so you're easier to find) and force the killer to deal with you, while everyone else fans out.

So I don't think its a flaw to start the gen you spawn next to. The killer is likely to find SOMEONE at the start, and doing the start gen means either: -

    • The Survivors have the best shot of getting 1 gen out ASAP during the first chase while a player who fanned out gets chased.
    • The Survivors can get more progress on higher priority gens as the killer takes a little longer starting up the chase to prevent the first gen being optimally rushed.

Do I don't see why it's necessarily a bad decision not to do the first gen you see.

The push me pull you rhythm of that ofc being, if the first chase goes badly and ends up getting hooked near that gen, or if the hased survibors runs to middle to use the main building stronger tiles, it becomes a problem... I've had games where trying to break the middle gen has been absurdly painful after these moments 😔

Opening theory is pretty fun to think about 😅

I wish Deja Vu would show all survivors the 3 gen rather than just the person using it. Yet another SWF buff and solo q nerf.

Spawn changes made the start too predictable especially on indoor maps. Unless they have Lethal Pursuer I can already be on the other side of the map freely doing a Gen.

Yeah they started the survivors together so the killer would know where to go at the start!! What the heck why can these peons move?! I think they should at least start in a trappers bear trap at the start of the game as well. That way by the time they break free and heal up the killer can start the match the way it should with a good old chase.

I’ll make sure to stay on the farthest gen from now on. Will also fast vault or enter/exit the locker just in case

Not every survivor is afraid to take a chase.

Always try to do the middle gens first! Deja Vu is really handy perk if you're not sure where the gens are

facts. Some of these matches are handed to the killer from the jump because the central gens get sandbagged from the jump; and someone does the corner gens at the very start instead of leaving them for last. It’s always best to work from the inside out in the clusters and leave the corners last. In the plus sign for priority we trust 🙏

why is OP being downvoted so much? do people actually just do the first gen they see, with no regards to 3 gen placement, or have any consideration for how spawn logic works/potential Lethal Pursuer?
