Fog Vials nerfed immediately, yet Ghoul is still overpowered after months…
Why is it that the devs only have the “be cautious and wait” mentality when it comes to killers? Meanwhile the milisecond killer mains start crying about fog vials the devs have it gutted within a week
Nerf Ghoul, yesterday. This is ridiculous.

- Nurse read your post and laughs🤣

nerf Blight while we're at it and Singularity too

I'm honestly surprised with how long it is taking for Ghoul to receive more nerfs, this killer is extremely oppressive.

might be bc of it being a KILLER and not an ITEM just my 2 cents wich arent worth much

Ghoul makes them money, fog vials do not.

Because they can't make money on Fog Vials

Fog vials were an accessibility issue. It doesn't help that on maps like Dead Dawg they're still (even after the nerfs) somehow completely blinding with this white fog flash bang. So a lot of people are seemingly contradicting each other in their personal experiences with how "oppressive" or "useless" they are despite both sides actually being correct at the same time. I believe even the launch Fog vial + iri addon on Withered Isle maps did basically nothing, whilst like I said even the now nerfed version on Dead Dawg with no iri is a 10m area flashbang.
Also Kaneki is outclassed by Nurse, Blight, Billy and Twins (when they're not bugged to high hell). I think he may need side grades that push his power in a different more skill expressive direction instead of outright nerfs (Making the free injures less free and giving him something to play more with the anti-loop part that isn't vault spam).-12 -
but there’s 4 players and only 1 killer?
That’s what I was told which is why they keep nerfing killers cause survivors make more money than killers

They are always hesitant to nerf things that make them money.

I knew I should have put the r/ in the comment
I was talking in sarcasm

I will say at least Ghoul got nerfed to place when a bad Ghoul does get run over at least... if the Ghoul isn't good, he can get beaten pretty convincingly, which is an improvement over before (where even the most clueless Ghouls holding W and kicking pallets all game could still run over even good survivors).
However yeah... against a Ghoul who really knows what they're doing, it is totally on them to lose.
I have a feeling these 2 nerfs back to back were experimental... I cant find where it was, and not that I agree with the approach, but BHVR nerfed Fog vials, then immediately asked the question which nerf discouraged you from playing Fog Vials more?
I have a suspicion that Fog Vials are gonna get buffed again... the question I think is, are we gonna get the higher opacity with low charges, or the weaker opacity with more charges?
Personally I liked the low Fog opacity Vials with lots of charges, and I feel the Iri should be high opacity with low charges... so we effectively get both... I would be surprised if that isn't what happens sometime.in tbe near future.

Frankly, I do not feel that people with visual issues should be catered to at the detriment of everyone else. Video games are an inherently visual medium, if you have eye issues then you know you're going into it with a disadvantage. Sorry. I don't see why the game needs to cater to a tiny minority.

I think this tweet represents pretty good everyone reaction to playing against ghouls

A 2 out is pretty good. I'm fairly certain they could have gotten 3 if they'd pathed better.
Also I cannot imagine getting this upset about a video game.

Ghoul literally had 25 changes, before the grace period started. And the changes started on launch day.
Why do people keep pretending the 25 changes didn't happen? Ghoul was nerfed immediately. Springtrap was nerfed immediately too. A lot of killer stuff gets nerfed before the grace period starts.

Gotta sell those licenses. A less cynical (and possibly correct answer) is they might be having trouble finding a balance they like.

Whatever happened to waiting and looking at data and seeing how players adjust?
Oh wait, I guess that only applies to killers, even if they are blatantly broken and unfun.
Survivors got the first item ever and it's already been nerfed into non+existence.
-2 -
It's all about Killrates and naturally Killer gets the better gaming experience.

Why does this need to be an “us vs them” thing? Pretty much everyone agrees that fog vials were overnerfed, even those that you like to call “killer mains.” It’s so disheartening to see people continually turn every topic into “oh well this happened because BHVR obviously hates killers/survivor players” or “this only happened because killer/survivor mains cried too much.” The divisive “us vs them” garbage is getting really old and makes it much more difficult to have productive discussions.

Then they need to focus on making the effects consistent across maps. Not just nerf the item into uselessness.

Says the side begging for anti slug, anti tunnel, anti hook, anti chase, anti instadown…. Survivor mains think they're supposed to get a 4 man out with 50 flashlight saves and nobody gets hooked every game. Killers complain about gen speed and its "just bring gen regression perks newb, skill issue" but forget there are anti slug and anti tunnel perks for them to bring but that would just not allow them their meta builds so… no. Cry to the devs and get the killer experience run into the ground until no one wants to play killer anymore. Give them killer bots and let them have their "fun". SWF and comms already killed this game, the rest of this crap is just urinating on a corpse. I play way more survivor now than I do killer because it's easy mode and playing killer just isn't worth it anymore. GL HF NG

As someone who is literally browsing the forum while waiting for my optometrist appointment because I need an even stronger prescription for my useless eyes, I can honestly say i thankfully had zero issues visually with the fog vials pre-nerf. As a video game enjoyer, it's absolutely up to me to manage my impairments (I'm also hard of hearing). I appreciate every accessibility option the devs implement but I certainly would never expect it.

I mean yeah, what about my message suggested otherwise? Did people think I was justifying it? They were both useless and overpowered at the same time, then BVHR did the BHVR thing and over nerfed something instead of using their basic critical thinking skills or having more foresight than a goldfish.
