2v8 Survivor queues take so long

We have been trying all morning, last night the servers suddenly got slow and now we woke up to the servers being completely down. We were going to play today during my birthday as a group for 2V8s.

Its very raugh I either have to play classic 1v4 where all sweat lords are staying or try survivor which is like5-10+ minutes or try killer but I didnt get any game after 40 minutes of waiting which is longest it ever been for me and not to mention servers dissconnets quite often in 2v8.

This erases any of my doubts that 2v8 is the most popular game mode. This should be standard with 1v4 and killers added as we go.

To be fair, how are they supposed to test it? It's not like they have millions of players on their dev team, and they probably have private servers for play testing

They do have a team of Developers. And, they do have private servers, good point, so how couldn't they test it? They didn't even think to try it with their resources. Even, if they can't I'm sure they could've done test runs with content creators. (The people helping people come to their game, btw.) They only care for money (don't tell me it's not when they dropped ANOTHER set of cosmetics you have to spend real money on), it's like Blizzard all over again. You're probably right though, their servers run barely well when it's just base 1v4. We've seen what they're like after everything going on.

I'm hoping it's just the outage and not an unfortunate side effect of the "play while you wait" feature. One of my concerns was getting into a lobby as Survivor and then waiting for the Killer to finish their own Survivor game before we could start our match.

i guess the server issue was fixed for most players, but i just waited in a 19min killer queue just to get kicked from the lobby before loading in due to some ‘network issue’ that didn’t occur once during the 2 survivor games i played while in the queue. SUPER infuriating.

Usually it can be tested through some kind of virtual machines that imitates high load out or other circumstances
IDK, probably BHVR doesn’t have such technology. U also can use bots on private servers butsuch a way can neglect really important things such as CPU loadout or network performance. Maybe that’s why is so bad…?

I've seen people report the survivor lobby shows up as 10/8 until the killers join, so it could be a factor

I am a friend for gratuitous complaining, so this is working quite well for me. =D

The question you need to ask yourself is if this experience is better than being tunneled or camped every game?

Wait, wait, wait….your expecting a game developer that has been around since the early 90's that "built their reputation on rigorously developing games that let players share unique moments together and transforming the world’s most renowned intellectual properties into interactive experiences designed to engage audiences across every platform" with a 9 year old game that has almost 100 million copies sold and over 1,300 employees to have the money to afford to test things? Dude….did you not see the effort they spent on your Rick Grimes alternate costumes…you should be ashamed of yourself. We know where their focus is, they care about us…..
