Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why I support the idea of BHVR selling unique mori's and survivor taunts

Disclaimer : I have no idea if BHVR is planning to sell new Killer Mori's, unique to each killer. Or unique Survivor taunts, unique to each Survivor.

But I do want to talk about why I support it, and you should too.

This would create a new revenue stream for DBD, and it would be retroactive too. They could now go back and create new Mori's to sell for ALL of their Killers. And nnew unique taunts for ALL of their Survivors. People will buy them. And it doesn't take any new chapter to do it.

For example, a new Survivor taunt…. given only to… Nicolas Cage, or Ace Visconti, or whoever. Now if you really like that taunt, you will have to go buy his chapter/survivor, and then buy the taunt.

Or a new mori for The Doctor…. or for whatever. People will buy them.

and why is this important?

Because maybe with more money, BHVR will be able to focus on fixing the game more.

Survivor taunts and emotes maybe, but chances are they'll be spammed to disrespect the killer player.

New killer mori would be greatly appreciated, but no one knows why they're not adding them exceptthe devs. The mobile phone version of DBD had multiple moris for some killers and those were amazing.

Doubtful, the playerbase will be toxic with or without it

been saying this for a few years. They absolutely could. And people would buy it. Instead of DLCS, new killers, new perks. More dilution they could make moris, taunts, and sell it. Add on to the uniqueness to the individual players.

I'd take that over constantly getting new killers, and new perks to unlock every 3 months

Yeah of course that's what they'd be used for. The exit gates would be horrendous.

Same for the killer. The finisher mori has already made friendly hatches/mercy rare. This would make it extinct.

I would love a dab emote both on killer and survivor. Iw would pay money for this.

It will never happen unfortunately. We have a rated m game that's entire purpose revolves around hooking and killing people. But the player base isn't stable enough to handle people crouching with out making at least five threads a day about it.

It would make it closer to Fortnite, which is ultimately the direction the game has been going. Not in a big dramatic way, but in how it handles content. I don't think it would be out of character and honestly, if you give me a lil dance then I'd be happy.

They could bring in the moris from the mobile version since that version is done and dusted.

Hard disagree. I'm not out here picking favorites in the lobby and then targeting everyone else. Nor do I know who would be in-fighting over this. I've never gotten mad as survivor about someone getting a free hatch. That luck comes to everyone at some point.

But if I give someone mercy, there's a reason. Maybe they played really well. Maybe they did something funny or charming. I'm not going to kill someone who makes me laugh. A lot of matches are rough and grueling. It's refreshing to sometimes let the barrier come down and have a pleasant moment with your opponent.

And if I see someone being bullied or a 3-man sandbagging an unlucky fourth, you better believe I'm going to step in. The killer has the power role. That makes me the referee if things get stupid. I've been in that situation and having everyone in the game come at you is a terrible feeling. There are also times where two or three people immediately quit the match and screw over the other/s, and I'm going to let them go because they're luck sucked.

It's a game, not a war. If you can't occasionally be nice in something as dumb and pointless as a video game, then I'm not sure where you can be nice.

No offense but this is a bizarre take. I can understand getting frustrated if you're tunneled out and everyone else is spared, but to then take that scenario and apply it to everything is a bit much. It's a nice break when everyone can adjust to each others' play styles or when we can all have fun without competition. Not that that's exactly a common thing anymore, but it is nice when it happens.

This is like high level victim mentally. Who cares if the weaker just like Dwight as a survivor and wants to let him go? Ultimately it's on you to be good enough not to give the killer that kinda choice. If your upset with the decisions the person who is winning makes them maybe be in the position instead win… and escape.

Not obviously working with killers to find other survivors is super NOT OK

Bhvr is a multi million dollar company. Money isn't the issue when it comes to fixing the game. Putting in the work was the issue.

Now that they have recently heard our responses and communications regarding this ongoing issue. That shouldnt be an issue anymore hopefully, and I think they understand..Hopefully, they will continue to maintain this plan along the way.

I like the idea too of 3 hotfixes after a chapter. In addition to what is going on.

This is a casual party game. Any competitive spirit your seeing is people taking it waaaay to seriously.

How do you know the reason a killer let one go? You can't possibly have talked to every single one of them. So who's to say from the killer POV the one who he let escape was the best looped the hardest and showed the skill that the other duds didn't. I mentioned victim because you mentioned "feeling bad it wasn't me" like really do people think this? Did you really need that 7k BP because any escape at this point wasn't a win it was a gift and it sounds like your jealous and making fantasies on why they didn't like you more.

This take is a bit much. It's not that serious. Who has ever been offended by mercy? I've been in parties where the killer decided to be cool with everyone but me. Why? Who knows? And who cares. I just spectate and watch them have fun together.

I've never tunneled anyone out, and I've certainly never been viscious to one person and favored another for no obvious reason. Most mercy occurs after me playing serious the whole match and then something happens to cause a shift. I'm not a huge fan of hatch-hunting as survivor and if I'm the last one left, I'll often just do something ridiculous, and that often wins me mercy. I haven't had many matches where the killer has just swerved on me the whole game because, I dunno, they liked my cosmetic or something. It's usually a particular event that makes it occur. I often give hatch to the person who looped the hell out of me. At that point, they're the last one left anyway, cause I couldn't catch them. So take your MVP W and head on out. If anything, I'm often acknowledging a player whose better than me and deserves the win, even if their overall team didn't.
