How often are false bans issued if the reports are coming from people who are reputable?
I beat a streamer a couple times last night and he was coping, claiming I lag switched, cheated, etc. He is friends with one of the more popular dbd streamers and claims that the evidence was sent to him and said streamer will contact his friend who happens to be on the BHVR dev team in order to get me banned. Do I have anything to worry about if I genuinely did no wrong doing other than having some desync issues or am I going to get banned simply because someone really well known in the dbd community says I'm cheating?

Well hows he gonna prove it? By recording you playong completely legitimately?

I was lagging because I was having desync issues and at points it led to me getting hits through pallet stuns. He's clipping those moments and using them as "proof" that I was lag switching to abuse lag when in reality I just had bad ping. His teammate was also on 800 ping and lag switches can't make OTHER peoples' ping higher. I'm just a little nervous that he's going to take those clips of me lagging and since he is friends with some members of the dev team it will result in a ban that I can't do anything about simply due to him being popular

As much as it's frustrating to vs, high ping is not a bannable offense. Someone like them and their dev friend should know that already.

Like how old is this streamer? This is like "I go tell dad" level.
