Yes, dashes allows you to catch up quicker, but it really is not necessary if you can path well, and outsmart the survivors.9 -

depends on the map tbh
its always the map, a dash killer won't do anything in an indoor map if anything they might struggle, but when comes to big maps u will benefit a lot
unless u are playing wesker, u will suffer in both indoor and outdoor maps by bumping into NOTHING

It's not but it's the most straight forward and effective way to win. But it's not the only viable one.

There are so many killers that are good without having a dash ability but if you really need a top tier who isn't a dash killer.
I think you forgot about Singularity's existance.

imma give some examples
nurse who is known as the best killer in the game teleports through walls and pallets
huntress who s very popular and strong which does take practice
dredge, a lower picked killer but can put pressure across the entire map with nightfall and teleportation and that's without me talking about his remnant chase power
so overall there are many ways to win as killer in this game but dash killers do very well in their own rights

there's plenty of other ways. for example, end game builds. spend 5 generators killing 1 guy, then use Rancor to kill another, then lock the others in with your other 2 perks. ez pz
