Myers Rework Revealed!
Devs have announced the PTB and with it Myers Rework is shown
- Replaced “Evil Within” with two modes that can be toggled with a button press:
Stalker Mode: 4.2m/s movement speed, Undetectable, and can stalk Survivors.Pursuer Mode: 4.6m/s movement speed, 24m Terror Radius, increased vault speed, bonuses to lunge range, break speed, and stun recovery, and cannot stalk Survivors.
- Once the stalk meter is full,
Evil Incarnatemode can be triggered at will, granting the following effects for a limited time (note: Survivors no longer become Exposed):- 4.6m/s movement speed, 40m Terror Radius and an increased vault speed.
- Unlocks Slaughtering Strike ability:
- Hold the power button to charge this ability, reducing movement speed.
- Press the attack button while charging to quickly lunge forward, adjusting your angle as you move. The length of the lunge depends on charge time.
- If a Survivor enters the Killer’s attack range while lunging, they are knocked into the Dying State.
- This ability can also be used to destroy pallets.
- Unlocks the ability to grab and kill or perform a regular Mori on Survivors who would die the next time they are hooked.
- Adjusted some of the mechanics of stalking:
- Removed the limited pool of stalk points per Survivor.
- Reduced stalk range to 32m and removed distance modifier.
- Moving while stalking has increased movement speed but incurs a reduced stalk rate.
- Reworked his add-ons.

so they gave him the worst part of original doctor (clunky modes you have to swap between) and instead of applying global expose (one of the main reasons i wanted myers in 2v8) tier 3 is now just Scamper That Instas And Cant Jump Pallets So Now You Get To Play As Burger King Blight

I’m happy tombstone is basekit it at least keeps the essence of Michael Myers and most of the buffs we asked for are in the update
I’m kinda surprised they removed the evil within tiers

I’m not sure I understand it at all so I’m going to reserve my judgement for the PTB I guess.

So like old og doctor he will have two modes the stealth one and chase one with ability that will have dash attack with instadown, quite solid depends on numbers of vault speed, increased lunge and break speed over all quite good both for indoors and outdoors.

This is something I wanted to tier 3 have for long time. Its funny that every killer now just has to have some range attack or dash attack or mobility but thats just something we cant longer change with how meta shifted and so many killers.

Basically instead of stalking to power up tiers, Myers starts with both available and 'stalking' is something only done in T1 to power up his tier 3 'dash attack' which is basically like a demo shred, propels you forward and breaks pallets. Only difference is it insta-downs survivors instead of t3 exposing them.

If this means the mirror addons, tombstone addons, and infinite tier 3 addons are getting deleted, then I’m all for this rework.

And his new tier 3 can now mori survivors death on hook with grab thats great now real question is will this bypass antitunnel like current tombstone or it wont this is quite important.
Overall finnaly mayers got some love after many years left in the dark corner for like 7 years. Its good because his chapter is the one which gave this game first licensed killer and made it more popular, one of key reasons why this game still exist in 2025.

I think I'm misreading it but I believe it just works like Pyramid head but you just grab them instead of downing on there death hook

As a long, long time Mikey main my first impression is these are awesome.
He gets undetectable base kit, something he always should have had. He is still a creepy stalker to charge up his new ability. He can tombstone death hook survivors. They're still keeping his identity which was my biggest concern.
They have now given him some solid anti loop in his kit. I mean as good as you can give an M1 killer. Faster pallet breaking and endures stuns quicker, while having base kit coup and keeping the fast vault speed.
Obviously I need to see all this in action but I am loving what I am reading.

I have a feeling they'll be switchable at the press of a button, and rather instant. Kind of like how Freddy is with Pallets/Snares, or Clown with the Tonic/Antidote.
The issue with Doctor is that it took like two seconds to switch and incurred a movement speed penalty. They've figured out how to have killers with two modes that isn't the clunkiest thing ever.
As for the update, I'm pretty excited to see how it is. I think the complaints about Myers being turned into a "dash" killer are kind of overblown. It's literally "M1 lunge good, M2 lunge bad".
Especially excited to see Tombstone basekit in a balanced way. The ability to just pick up and kill someone on a whim is very Myers.
The only thing I'm less excited to see is a reduction in Stalk range, especially considering he'll have to be 4.2m/s to do it.

I mean, myers had nothing so giving him a power is very cool, not a fan of making him another dash pallet shredder (but it is still cooler than m1, so i'm happy with it)

i agree that mode switching killers have gotten better mechanically to use, but my main comparison to old doctor here is one mode is your power on mode (actually stalking) while the other is m1 killer with no power and some speed to compensate. i just feel like on myers this isnt going to feel super great in certain departments and will require a lot of stopping pressure to stalk, which is an issue he still already has in some cases.
i think im a hater on this one. the changed not-coup lunge thing feels like itll get outplayable fast. this feels like chucky with extra steps

I am making zero judgements until I see them in PTB. Plenty of times something has looked good or bad on paper and while yes we can make assumptions I am not going to assume anything until I see how it plays. I will definitely try them though as Myers is 100% the reason I got this game in 2016.

Yeah I think too its justninstead of tombstone with same mechanic just like axegrab with springtrap but now depends if survivor after unhook with antitunnel can be grabed and moried just like now with tombstone.

Michael player here! I'm a big fan of the changes, though the 40m terror radius needs to be dropped down to 32 again. While this is a instadown Shred, Bubba also gets to maintain his 32 meter terror radius (as does Demo!) so unless they anticipate him zooming at mach speeds, I don't see why 40 meters is what he gets upped to.
I'll obviously have to see the addons to give judgement, but I'm praying there's more than just Upgrade to Stalk Speed when picking your nose, Old Michael Iri, Upgrade to Lunge Distance when you sneezed recently.

I appreciate them listening to player requests such as giving Myers the toggle between tiers 1 and 2. But, I think they are going about it wrong for a couple reasons. For older killers like the Shape and Trapper, they are weak, and just changing the stats isn't enough, but they don't so much need reworks as they do quality of life improvements. Things like making it so Myers can't fat finger into tier 2 or 3, and making trappers traps blend in better to all environments so he's not map dependent. I don't think most killers care about there killer being strong or weak, they care about them being fun.
The new dynamic of switching modes is great, but making it so he's exclusively in stalk mode, or out I think is bad.

Silly rant first… OMG why is everyone a lunge/dash killer?!?
Now for the real complaining. I do not like this at all. Myers is the laziest slasher ever, he never runs, he never jumps, he never dives. He slowly walks towards you and overwhelms you with brute strenght.
could we not think of anything better to give him?

I love that everyone hating on this is a survivor main because they actually have to put brain power into chases against myers now. Apart from a few things, he takes a lot more skill now and hes going to be SUPER fun. I cant wait fir this release.

Like what? Give us an example of what you would change, because as far as I know, this is MILES more fun than his current state. He can also change back into his original state with an addon. And you probably dont even have to use his lunge, you can go full stealth. This is so much better

Remove the dash and give him exposed back. That is no Michael Myers he is not killer that runs. Ruins the whole character for me.

People that are fan of Myers and want him to be lore accurate will not like this rework. Currently he was actually one of the most fun killers he has most diverse add ons and playstyles well at least before map offering nerfs. What most myers player has been asking is buffs for early game making tier 1 viable not full rework. Myers before was done almost perfectly lore accurate. But now they make him boring dask killer like everyone else.

True 40 meters have only killers with insabe mobility like billy,wesker,blight dome of them have huge lethality and even oni in blood furry has not 40 meters terror radius even he gets one of best mobility snd dash attak thats probably better and easier to control. Thats like giving bubba 40 meters tr because he can oneshot you.

I am not giving Behavior anymore money (buying dlcs or cosmetics) after this myers rework. He is my main and I have been playing him since release. This change is trash while removing his identity to make him the samey chucky dash attack. When the hell did he ever run/dash at anyone in the movies???? He would appear and disappear (more like teleport) when you were not looking at him but you never gave him that ability.
You guys are just the worse dev team ever of any game I played in 30 years.

Tru but it looks good and more reliable version than current mayers. Im glad they gave him finally rework he needed mayers is in my opinion the key foundations of dbd if he wasnt there in 2016 maybe the game would ended like other hortor games from those years.
