Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Tunneling/camping/slugging are not tactics, they're cheap and pathetic. They're getting SO MAD about "being forced to play a certain way"….yeah, how does it feel?!?! Stealth used to be practical in this game as a survivor, but with like 20 locator perks and the recent changes to survivors (yeah…FORCING us to play a certain way by making us interact with things more often and not letting us tactically "unalive" ourselves on hook for allies to go for hatch sooner), that is out the window. This has become less a horror survival game and more an action game where the name is now "git gud at looping or gtfo". The last update almost had me quit completely, with the same frustrations I am sure killer players are feeling right now, but I really wanted to see what they did to crap all over killers the same way they did survivors several months ago, and now here we are! I hope all these changes stick like glue and the tunnelers/campers/sluggers will quit (good…) and the remaining killers will adapt, just like survivors have had to 🤷

i agree, im very happy and looking forward to this patch, finally the meta will be shaken up a bit and the game will feel more fresh (its been so stale for so long :c), also the buff they give killers when hooking different survivors is not small either in the current state. New strategies will come out to maximizes those values and stuffs. The slug and tunnel changes for survivors finally put in some qol that the game needed much time ago and will help the game feel more modern and better. They also finally adressing some killers being better than others wich means they will likely put out balance patches in teh future (i hope) to make killers strenght gap smaller. Also those changes make it so you as a solo survivor have more agency in the game, if you can loop very well and are doing great in teh game since now killer is forced to interact with every survivor you can pull your weight more in the game. Only thing i worry about with this new update are some killers that can hardly adapt and have very unilateral gameplay, for example bubba, if they cannot adapt to this new meta they will feel very bad for their players. I want to adress also teh doomposting of the community wich i think is way too much considering the game will finally change, havign space for new builds, different gameplay and an healtier game for both killer and survivors, maybe they lost faith in bhvr, but this patch is giving hope and is a stepping stone for a better dbd future.

I'm looking forward to not having to rely on anti tunnel perks every game. People will always have a moan, because they hate change. Unfortunately, people either need to adjust their play style or just don't play.. It really is that simple. Slugging and tunneling has been a problem for far too long. And I think this is great for new players.
