Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Fellow Killer Mains, to what extent do you dislike the 9.2 changes?

I'm trying to guage how much killers are for or against the 9.2 changes (which as of now have been delayed). I'm mostly talking about the anti-tunnel/anti-slugging stuff.

I think the three main things that I would change about the update is first to make the base kit Pop be based around total gen charges instead of current progression. It makes no sense making it so underwhelming considering it is the main balancing point to make up for the nerfs killers get.

The second thing that I would change is to remove the range restriction to the base BBQ. BBQ works because survivors never know when a killer has it, so they always have to guess before trying to counter it. If they expect it single time, than this supposed bonus becomes basically non existent.

The last thing that I would change is to block pallets while picking up survivors. Since they are adding an anti-slugging clause, the bare minimum that they should do is to add a system to prevent the new survivor buff to be abused, because with the new basekit unbreakable, SWFs can easily try to hard focus on getting saves without getting punished since the downed survivor now can infinitely pick themselves up. Flashlights and flashbangs can be dealt with by looking at wall, so it is not the biggest deal, but pallet saves have no counter unless you shoo the survivors away and hope none of them have background player.

i liked most of them but I would like to see who I hooked last so I am able to keep track of the last person I hooked so the anti tunnel cannot be used against me

Firstly, scrap the aura reading and the haste. They affect different killers vastly differently.

Second, swap the base kit Pop for base kit Pain Res. Again, Pop is significantly more or less useful depending what killer, while Pain Res is affecting them all mostly equally.

Third, bump up that base kit Pain Res % significantly since we're removing the aura and haste. Aura and haste base can feeling cheesy to face, regression instead just makes up for forcing the killer to play non efficient.

Fourth, scrap the slug nonsense entirely. We already are able to abandon (and win when abandoning for whatever wild reason that's baffling) when 4 slugged.

Fifth, "When a Survivor dies to a hook action or Mori before 6 total hook states, the remaining Survivors gain a 25% repair speed bonus." needs to be toned down to dying before 4 hooks and not apply to any killer powers like Onryo, Pig, ect.

Sixth, "When a Survivor that was previously hooked is Killed or Sacrificed, the Killer loses the ability to block, damage, or regress generators by any means." Needs to be 3 in a row, not 2.

The issue was less the concept and more that it was way, way overkill on the killer while being significantly more strict than it should be. Rather than being "anti tunnel or camp" it was "anti momentum".
