Can we please add servers to Russia, Middle East and Africa?
I play on the EU servers, probably mostly Frankfurt, since that is my closest server in West-EU. I am on 25-30 ping average. Im a 2016 player, so my memory has about 10000s of matches as experience here, this isn't just one or two bad days. But here is my experience playing against other ppl on this server:
At the very least Russia… Since they are such a massive portion of the player base in Europe (based on the names I see in my lobbies). Its so aggravating to play against these people due to their massive latency… often 150+ ms. Whether I play killer or Survivor, my Russian opponents will always be very VERY frustrating to play against due to latency issues.
And I have talked to these ppl directly, I know they aren't all malevolent… They just say "what am I supposed to do? This is our closest server", and I understand this. But they truly ruin the game for many ppl, especially when they play killer they ruin it for 4ppl per match. It's just unplayable and unacceptable.
The 2nd biggest population is Middle east for me, they literally don't care. I don't think I've had a single civil conversation out of them. They know they got this advantage and they don't care.
I even get South Africans on the EU servers… multiple times. Talked to them, Very nice ppl, can't say anything bad about them. BUT 250+ ping, Its just unplayable… but what are they supposed to do, right?
I've been a gamer my entire life pretty much (40+). I remember even in the early days of the internet becoming mainstream, even then people had 100 ping or lower on old tech modems, in some of the most popular early online games such as Quake and Counter-strike. So there is absolutely no reason that anyone in modern times should be playing at or playing against over 100 ping players, unless they are on VPN or playing cross continents…
So why are we forcing people to play like this? Can we not at least give them ONE server to lighten the load on other continents? Is it THAT expensive? Honest questions cause I truly don't know.
Thanks <3

Just to add an example of today in 2v8 making it even worse. I see an entire lobby of survivors at 30-45 ping. Easy bet to say they are all from West EU, just like me. But then the 2 killers are both 180+ ping. Completely unplayable. I witness other ppl pre-drop pallets way early, and they still get hit through said pallets 2-3secs after… How is that ok?
This is not just one match, this is almost every match that at least one of the killers has such an unplayable ping, that it ruins the entire match flow. Non of peoples skill matters. Drop a pallet, still get hit 2-3secs after…
It's the same problem in 1v4, obviously at lower rate, cause those matches are much slower paced. But the problem persists all over. It happens so much to the point that I wonder if a large portion of these players aren't just on VPN (on purpose) or something?
I bet this is also the exact reason why we see so many ppl go next in Europe. They just want to move on to a normal match.

Isn't the game banned in Russia atm?

Defo not, again based on the names I see in my lobbies, plus the profiles I check on Steam :D Many many Russians. I assume they would be banned due to the war? I guess they are all female Russians. Whenever they have a TTV that I check, they are female, so… At least I assume it is because of the war they would be banned? I have no idea why else.
At least I can confirm, from what you are quoting, I checked those 2 Steam profiles, they were both Russian, and obviously both together with their very similar skyhigh pings.

Yes, please, we want servers for the Middle East. My age is gone, and I'm waiting for them to put us servers in the Middle East. After many years of claims, they put servers in India and left the Middle East.

I hope they do it

I just swear I remembered when the war started, DBD stated they wouldn't be updating the game in Russia anymore, which led to alot of people VPNing to play the game still.

the game is simply not sold in Russia. if the game was purchased before the sanctions, you continue to play, but without new paid content and without the ability to replenish aurite coins.

Well I guess that explains the rise in VPN-like latencies in DBD :(

There's a lot of LGBTQ stuff in this game so they wouldn't allow it. BHVR would have to block the flag charms in those regions if they put servers there. And probably also change any mention of LGBTQ in lore.
