Allow killers to abandon match early
I am not playing a game as pig in an open map where i get my first hook at almost 2 gens left, no point anymore

Imagine being able to disconnect freely just because a map doesn't favor you or you don't like playing on it.
lol, I couldn't even play DBD because I hate them all.

I mean killer should be able to abandon when exit gates are open because thats when he mostly lost and if he has no one on hook, sluged or in chase which goes in killers favor there is no point in being there just time waste like mori for survivor.

Listen… I've said it before and I'll say it again. Making DCs less punishing would be good for the game. If it's clear that players queue up and then suffer, why not give easier means to alleviating that suffering (without booting everyone out of the game) than enforcing that they stay because they signed an invisible contract to dedicate their all to each and every trial? It makes no sense (in my opinion).

i dont see why not, survivors can abandon when the match is looking dire for them so why not have that for killer too? This further highlights the issue of the game state. Gens pop so fast that certain killers really do have to tunnel hard to stand a chance. So many open maps that survivors can see the killer coming from the other side of the map long before TR kicks in, they pre run. Loads of times i have been survivor on maps like coldwind farm, watching a ghostface or pig sneaking around like a fool thinking they will have the element of surprise but actually i saw them coming long ago. Killers like pig, trapper, myers, pyramid head, that have no speed dash ability or teleport really struggle hence why the popular killers are speed freaks like blight, ghoul ect. Yes there are indoor maps where killers like pig thrive but the percentage of outdoor open maps is way more than the few indoor maps. For example i played killer for like 8 hours straight a while a go, i got an indoor map maybe 3 times in 8 hours. Hardly an even split.

I'm okay with that if survivors still end the match with an "escape" and gain the 7k bloodpoints

or introduce bot killer. i mean survivors can abandon but the killer still has to play the match v a bot, killer dont get free wins the second the survivor abandons. survivors should have the same imo, when killer abandons then the survivors still have to finish the match v a bot.

Tbh it doesn't trigger Adepts anymore and correct me if I'm wrong but escape challenges are affected as well. I'd rather play against a Killer bot.

They just need to change it so you get the adept and the challenge credit. I don't want to go from playing against a bad killer who was guaranteed to lose to an OP bot who somehow turns it into a win.
But if it's as dumb as the survivor bots have been lately, then sure, a bot is fine.

I am all for it if killer bots are introduced. Maybe this will be a QOL improvement in the future.

Because you are then ruining the game for the other 4 people who were expecting to play the game normally.
DCing should never be encourged. If youre not having fun, log off instead of "suffering" every game you play.

This would destroy the game. Killers would leave matches at the slightest inconvenience, constantly ruining games for survivors. The DC penalty exists exactly to prevent this kind of selfishness from ruining other players’ experience.

just as dumb and just as tedious lol. i recently had a match as kill where i hooked killed 1 survivor, hooked 2, downed 1. all 3 survivors abandon before i can press the pick up button to hook the last one. a bot frees themselves from hook, frees the other bot on hook so im hunting 2 bots at this stage, then the other bot gets unhooked. Now im in a match v 3 bots because survivors abandoned instantly. i can abandon also at this stage but its a loss for the killer to do so because its not over and a bot can potentially escape, i have to finsh the match to get the win. The same rules should apply the other way around, killer abandons, bot killer remains and can potentially pull off a kill.

If there is a killer bot then sure, otherwise no, I have a challenges/tome that you can ruin…

Knowing where the bots are, I'm sure they'd be dumb. But we'd have to see.

That argument makes no sense to me. It's a double-standard when there are so many elements of the game that ruin the experience for others that go unchecked. The only difference is that you are taking the steps to remove yourself versus feeling cornered by another player.

You are asking for a system that is easily abusable.
"oh I dont like this map, dc"
"oh i dont like this killer, dc"
"oh my hex got cleansed, dc"
As a P100 Trickster I know he's a killer that isnt generally liked. Does that mean I deserve to play against bots all the time? Its literally every second or third game I get a DC and it would be even worst without a penalty.

Why not killer wants to move on same as when killer dc so you get free escape 7k points, but I hope this will go for all abandons with killer abandoning lobby full of bots he gets points for kills because its just picking game nothing good or interesting just playing against program that has wallhacks and your best way to play against it is just brute force everything no mindgames.

One of the key points of asymmetry is that killers have a comeback/snowball mechanic. Survivors do not. A killer can have a catastrophic early game, and still absolutely win, even without a dedicated endgame build. Not only this, killers are able to all but completely lock out the one tiny loss mitigation mechanic survivors have (the hatch via slugging for the 4k). Why should a killer be allowed to leave a game that they have a reasonable chance of winning? Particularly when no such snowball or comeback mechanics exist for survivor and yet there are very few mitigations in place for that?

It's a rock and a hard place. If you face a majority of players that don't like playing against a Killer, the solution isn't to tell them they have to or to leave the game entirely. It isn't any more or less fair to tell the Killer player they're SOL. But that's a casualty of a system that prioritizes enjoyment and steering fatigue. I genuinely fail to see how it's worse than what we're currently dealing with, other than it gives all players more autonomy.

The thing is all is takes is 1 person to press that disconnect and they spoil the game not just for the killer, but the other survivors as well. If dcing had no penalty then youd see it practically every game since there is literally nothing stopping them, and we all know how petty people can be.
Some times removing player agency and freedom is the way to go about things. This is without a doubt one of those things.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. 😎

I mean at least survivor bots do gens unlike my usual teammates 😂

Idk if they've been shadow nerfed but the pub match ones have been outrageously useless in my recent matches. I've watched multiple bots run around in circles with no clear goal. The ones in customs have been better.
