Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Adept Killer with a Hatch Escape?

Just saw someone get their Adept Artist, even though the last survivor escaped through the hatch. Was this a change, or was it a glitch? Anyone know for sure?

i hope to god its not a change because it would further incentivise hiding for hatch which the devs were supposed to be preventing. But i wouldnt put it past them to do something like that.

Mind you, that's a boon to killer side, cause losing Killer Adepts because of hatch is buns, and you can only really do them if you're facing Bambi's... a 3k requirement would be fairer.

While we're at it, Survivor Adepts also suck with map offerings being removed. Someone suggested a map of the week queue to help with this, which might be an idea. If not, maybe there could be a map of the week to boost offerings chances in the regular queue? If it's a really bad map, sac wards are a thing.

being a stealth killer im all for map of the week like they did with fnaf. it would allow people like me to play good stealth builds. pretty difficult to do on wide open maps which seems to be an abundant of these days.

map offerings was an issue mostly because people would dc in loading screen if they saw an offering they didnt like (i spent 2 hours trying to get a match but people would DC in loading screen whenever they saw RPD or The Game offering, when i removed the offerings i got a match instantly). So hiding them was a good change, but nerfing them into oblivion so they no longer work at all has had an impact on stealth killers.

Killer scores are pretty wonky, aren't they? I remember playing as Trapper, and three of the Survivors escaped. The fourth one was a bot who died in endgame. And somehow when I got to the tally screen, I got the "No One Escaped" score event, even though I knew it was a lie.

True, and as I've thought of it more, Map of the Week (or map of the week offerings boost) would also help Killer adepts as well.

It's an interesting idea, but I feel like it'd be a double-edged sword. On one hand, I could use it to practice on maps that I struggle with (looking at you, Lery's or Hawkins and about every other map), but on the other, if the Killer is too good on that map, I may not learn anything if I'm constantly getting stomped too quickly.

What?? Why would I, as a survivor, care if the killer is going for an Adept??????

Survivors assume the killer is going for a 4K anyway. Apart from jumping in a locker to avoid a Tombstone piece or something, it's not like survivors' gameplay is going to change. They'll still generally try not to get killed, I imagine.

Hiding for hatch is lame, but it's something survivors already do. (And I agree with the anti-hiding stuff they added recently.) A survivor could make it more obnoxious by hiding sooner (before the game is a lost cause) but knowing the killer is going for an Adept isn't going to make someone MORE likely to do that.

Even if we ignore all of that, and assume survivors will 100% hide more when someone is going for an Adept (that they somehow know about)… wouldn't giving the Adept to the killer DESPITE THAT kinda make the extra hiding pointless? Even if a survivor is trying to sabotage a killer's achievement, you think it would give them less incentive to do so by ENSURING THAT THEIR MALICIOUS ACTIONS ARE REWARDED?????
