Demogorgon is outdated. He needs an update.
Compared to other killers especially to the newer ones demo is really getting powercrept and outdated at the same time. I have some ideas on how to fix him: First when he misses a shred, his camera should NOT be locked in place. Literrally i don"t remember any other killer to have that (remind me if a am wrong). Second remove the sound cue whenever he is teleporting, for example springtrap or xeno have no sound cue whenever they are teleporting + increase his undetecteable to at least 10 seconds since springtrap has 15 seconds then why not demo? Third remove survivors to destroy portals and instead give demo the abillity to create a new by replacing the oldest portal. (something like hag). Fourth make most of his addons basekit and then reworking them, for exmple black heart, rat tail, mew"S guts, barbs glasses, violet waxcap and vermilion web cap making them basekit (some of them could get even slightly bigger numbers for example barbs glasses from 10% to 20 or even 25%). Then reworking addons that are based on portals like detection range and sealing time to something completly new and those like brass case lighter + reworking rotten pumpkin and lifeguard whistle to something new, deer lung remove the downside and the visceral addons are fine. Demogorgon is quite old to be honest plus one of the most fun killers overall but with the new killers that we have and are on the way for the future demo needs some attention. I would hope when it comes to Demogorgon, we can agree he should have at least what Springtrap has when it comes to stealth after exiting his hole. Especially because of all the hoops and problems he has to go through for teleporting. Let me list them:
1. Survivors can destroy them. 2. It takes time to setup. 3. there is a huge map wide sound effect warning that hes is teleporting.Easy change: Demogorgon gets 20 seconds of Undetectable after Traversing the Upside Down. (Just like Springtrap.)
This would easily being Demogorgon up to match a Killer released recently and also be satisfying to play until BHVR can get a proper look at all the different outdated parts of Demogorgon. As a quickfix while we wait for better fixes, because the more pleasant wait-time the better for us players.

yes the trappper definetly needs big adjustments but i feel like demo dindn"T got a lot of changes unlike trapper so i think he could wait but i understand

Fair critique, it might be too much. Demogorgon isnt intended to be a "stealth Killer" but he would benefit greatly from getting an injection of "Cold Hard Stealth" In my opinion. Just trying to grasp BHVR's attention for a quick-fix, they will pick the numbers anyway for fairness.

not really he is definetly weak if not the weakest we can all agree on that, but to me trapper is least forgotten compare to demogorgon. Not to mention he is one of the least played killers ever compared to trapper but trapper definetly needs more while demo can be fine with just some buffs and QOL changes while trapper needs more then just buffs

I honestly think all it needs is an option to dig straight through the ground, leaving a portal there if one's available.
The whole having to place and then tunnel through to teleport is kind of clunky, I think they should be able to be combined into one action if there's not a portal nearby.
I don't think the portals should be indestructable. Xeno has the flame turrets and Springtrap has the camera reveal system as a downside. Demo has no such thing.
Shred is fine. Just that one QOL improvement will make portals far more worth it, which is what it needs.

yeah but demo doesnt have anti loop like they do and since it gives a map wide sound que it woundt be too bad if the portal spawns were tied to generators aswel.

Shred is good anti-loop, though. Even better with Black Heart + Barb's Glasses.

yes but those 2 have mobility in the traditional sense. demo does not. It has just has 1 dash that if missed incurs a massive penalty especially when htting a wall

Demo's downside is that it has to trundle over to where it wants the teleport then place it. I have had dozens of games where I just didn't have the time even use the teleport at all because there wasn't any time to set them up. I consider that a flaw in the character.

Shred is literally just a zoning tool against good survivors. Everyone knows how to crouch tech it and dodge it because they have been playing against it for years.

He's not outdated, he's just well-designed and well-balanced.

He is outdated. Everything he does is done better by other killers. If you want to teleport there's plenty of other killers who can do it better than Demo's portal system which survivors can remove too. If you want a lunge attack then there's multiple other killers who can do it better than his shred, and turn when doing it too.
I thought when they got the Stranger Things license back we would see a flood of Demo players. But he's very rare to see. I think that's the reason why.

Imo there is only a couple stuff that needs buffing for demo to be good:
Portals:
Increase portal removal time for survivors by at least 5-8 sec, imo it takes very little time for survivors to remove em, compared to how much time it takes for the killer to set up.
Increase the detection range by a couple meters like 4-6 meters, bc the only way u can get info from the portals is if u put them right besides gens.
Make coming out of portals silent, or the map wide audio whe he is teleporting, there is no reason to have both.
Survivors could also get exhaustion while removing the portals and it would linger a lil.
Increase undetectable when coming out of portals by 5-9 sec.
Shred:
when u use shred and miss or break a pallet/breakable wall the camera locks in place, which is just stupid, considering every other killer with a better antiloop doesnt get the same punishment even tho demo has the weakest chase power.
Increase the distance of shred by 4 meters.
Decrease shred miss cooldown.
I went w these changes bc i wanted to make the portals more rewarding, while also keeping the whole setup style gameplay for demo, i also seen some auggestions that he should have a couple portals already on the map but i dont think thats a good idea cause we already have that w xeno.
I also think the shred is too punishing for how weak it is compared to other antiloop powers.
And an addon pass obv.

I have to absolutly agree those are wonderful ideas. Personally i would just remove the sound cue whenever demo is teleporting but other than that i like your ideas a lot👍️

I would play demo if his addons were more interestesting. Sure he could use some buffs, but his addons are his main issue.
