Why are all maps not set to equal value, even worse why are-
the maps that are considered more "balanced" by both sides set on a much lower % and the more complained maps much higher (WITH A FEW EXPECTIONS)
Here is the current odds % of some of the maps. notice a patten?
Every day I play I always get gideon, badham, toba, nostromo, and these maps are just so boring and badly designed for most killers and how the power interact with the environment, I am wondering if this a intentional choice and to soft nerf certain killers making them moderately harder to play
also maps like midwhich sucks playing as survivor but honestly its not the worst as long as its not vs a Nurse or something with insane mobility…. like Ghoul lol
why not put maps on equal value?

It's due to the fact that Maps are selected by Realm first, then map:
Maps like Dead Dawg, Springwood, and Gideon only have one map in the realm, so they're at a 4.55% chance.
However, Realms with multiple maps have their individual map chances weighted lower, as they have more maps per realm.
According to these numbers, you're actually MORE likely to go to Coldwind, Macmillan or Autohaven than any of the one-map realms (5 x 1.37% = 6.85%), but this is probably slightly offset to be more equal due to realm repeat prevention existing.
The only weird oddity here is that Dead Sands is actually less likely to show up when Boneyard is selected. Probably because that map was a bandaid solution to complaints about Eyrie.

just remove it so it only decides the map or add map voting to the game idfk. Its such a bad system with it how it works rn. maps shouldnt be decreased or increased simply cause of the realm they in.

I’ve been complaining about this for years now. Now that map offerings were nerfed, this problem is worse.
