Do they ban you for disconnections?
INLately, my internet has been crashing, and I'm getting disconnected while playing, which is causing me to get kicked out. I've already been banned from playing for 5 minutes. The question is, is it possible to obtain a serious limitation in the end in this way?

Yes they do and its incredibly stupid since you have no control if your internet goes out or if theres a power outage or even if you got to get to work or use the bathroom. Guess you have to just poop your pants until the match is over.

Its based kn your past 20 games.
Lets say you're a new account and played out all 20 of your first games, doing so grants you a penalty free disconnect because you have went inti the negatives for disconnect points (going negative is good.) But disconnecting before you've completed 20 matches and not having a negative penalty points value will cause a disconnect penalty. This penalty increases in severity if you don't play out your matches.
So in other words, the system recognizes that you are a fair sport and keep trying even when a game seems lost, but if you just try to leave the second a match doesn't go your way, you get smited.

When the connection crashes the game can't tell if it was a legit internet crash or simply pulling the plug so it's the game has to treat all of it like an intentional d/c. So it might be best to wait until your network is working properly before playing any online game.

That implies you insta-queue after every game.
Surely you can have a toilet break between matches?

Sometimes them matches last 10-15 minutes. That can be a long time to hold ones bladder. lol

But surely you notice it coming on at some point?
Unless there's like a medical reason, then fair enough, but I think most people are able to tell that 'nature is calling' well before it starts becoming problematic.

Just AFK? Go in a locker if you're a survivor. Stand there and lose if you're killer.

This is exactly why we need the DC penalty and need it to be harsh. People trying to make up bogus excuses for why they DC and ruin other people’s matches all the time.

If your internet keeps crashing, that is a you problem and you need to fix it before playing online PvP games. The DC penalty is meant to keep your unresolved problem from ruining the game for other people.

You won't receive any permanent bans, only matchmaking penalties. That means that the more you disconnect the longer before you can play again.

This. If your internet is being wonky, take a break. My personal rule is if my internet drops more than once in a single play session, I just do or play something else for a while.
Some people have chronically bad internet or live in places with poor service, and unfortunately games like these probably just aren't going to work out for them. I used to live in such a place, and if get that is sucks, but it is what it is.
Go afk or jump in a locker or something. I've had to make a sudden bathroom run mid-match more than a few times over the years and I've never dc'd to do it.
And while recognizing that some people have medical conditions, most people don't go from zero to I soiling their drawers in 10 minutes. These things are usually the result of poor planning. I know I've known I had to go in between matches but queued up again anyway and regretted it, but that's not a valid reason to dc for free.

Nobody is forcing you to ready up. I can’t believe we are actually having this conversation. Just go to the bathroom prior to your match or right after.
If you can’t hold it for 20-30 mins at most, then you should go to the doctor.

Just seems silly to be punished for dcing when bots take over. Just take the W. Like what is that hurting? Why be forced to stay in a match?

Because people that want to DC if they:
- don't like the map/killer,
- get found first,
- didn't last in the first chase as long as they hoped
- or whatever miniscule reason you can come with for an early exit,
will abuse a free pass to DC and playing against bots is neither the goal of this game nor fun.

Without that penalty DCs could be faked and abused easy.
