BHVR we desperately need Random Perks Feature as Basekit in the Game.
Listen, Im not mad that you gutted my favorite event this last last month, Im more disappointed in myself for not convincing you that random perk selection needs to be a basekit feature earlier in Dead by Daylights life cycle.
So thats what I am here to do in this thread…
The point is…
"Time is short in this world and Random Perks are very fun and we should make fun things last longer if we can"
But currently time is running out; Look at this:
1.This tome quest from Tome 22 Anguish, this is the only means I have left to enjoy Random Perks in game, In order to keep this feature available in a Tome, a player would have to find a way to fail to escape on purpose even during a win. I would like to see this feature implemented because the only way to redo the Tome Challenge is for a player to engage in negative gameplay, which no player really should feel forced to do to keep a nice feature of the game. And when Tome's finally gone, this is also lost too.
2.Additionally, with the new automatic nature of Quests in Dead by Daylight it does not seem like Random Perks Quests will make a return as those require you to opt in to do it, like using a button and there currently is no way to do this as the new Quests turn on automatically. So the only time you allow us the blessing of Random Perks is during the Chaos Shuffle events.
I'm not much of a programmer or software engineer, but I value your time on such a feature, so I made this plan:
A constructive plan for gradual implementation of Random perks Feature
Level 1: A should be Simple easy to implement Idea.
Implement the Random perk function from the Tome challenges as a toggle atop and next to the Perk Search bar.
I believe this should be easy to get in and it would serve as an exellent way to serve the need until a better implementation can be made.
Level 2: Partial Random Perks Bonanza!
When you have time for a bigger task, implementing a a feature to allow 1, 2 or 3 perks to be randomized would be a luxury. Really nice for the people who feel the need a specific perk but dont care about the rest.
I believe this would take a lil more time to implement.
Level 3: Can we get any better? RANDOM PERKS AND OFFERINGS

The idea is to have it so addons can be both or partially randomized as well. It would be fun i hope in the very same way that Perks being random is fun.
Anyway, this is what I think would be really nice for the game. and I hope level 1 could be implemented fast if you guys even have any time to spare, with changes to PTBs and whatnot you must be busy idd think.

This. Give people a 100k bloodpoint bonus for going in all random perks then make it stack for others going in random. So for example, survivor 1, survivor 2 and the killer go in with random perks, they all get 300k bloodpoints automatically but not the players who didn't.
Not only will this reward you for doing it making it much more likely to happen, but it benefits the game in 2 ways.
- More variety. God forbid we might actually not see the same 8 perks every single match.
- Gives new players a chance to experiment. These players don't have all the perks, this would allow them to play with level 3 perks and try out new perk combinations while earning bloodpoints to level up their characters.
It would be a change that benefits all end of the MMR spectrum which is very rare to happen.

Do a BP multiplier per rando slot you use and I'll 100% do random killer perks, even losing would net a decent BP bonus that way.

So you want a Level 2 Implementation then, I fear that might be more difficult to implement, so it might come later. But for sure we don't want anyone left behind for too long, when BHVR adds this.

I think giving people a blood point bonus to play with random perks is a REALLY bad idea, but I don't see why not just let people have the option to randomize their stuff.
